「A lovely find on our journey through southern Scotland. The view on the beach was fantastic and the room was spacious and well equipped. It was a nice touch having our kitchen stocked with our breakfast so we didnt have to dress and eat with other people before we have had coffee. Would def recommend!」

「I cannot rate the staff at this hotel more. I've travelled for work for years and I've never had better service at a hotel. The team at the Dumfries Arms were exceptional. I can't fault them. My husband and I had a fantastic two night stay, the food at the restaurant was delicious and catered well for my gluten intolerance. 」

「The Mecure is a walkable distance from the train station, and from its front doors and front rooms one can look right down a main avenue to the Esplanade and the Firth of Clyde. The staff was excellent, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast had a wide choice of buffet items. I also had supper two evenings in the hotel, and the wait staff plus food were very good. The items for vegetarians were fine, but not much was available for vegans. Because of my knee and hip surgeries, I had to ask to change...
