This was my second stay at Hotel Skeppsholmen and it was a far inferior experience than my first. One of the hotel's main attraction is the designs and furniture in the rooms. The designs were neither functional nor aesthetically pleasing. The tv could be turned on by my neighbour's remote (staff finally came to pull the power plug). There was a mini fridge that doubled as a bedside table which felt warm in the evening. The wall light above the headboard was also oddly located. The bathroom had a strange smell. The sheets had a smell too so I made sure to pull those out before checking out to ensure they were changed for the next guests. The view and breakfast is nice but there are plenty of better choices in Stockholm.

Quiet & elegant hotel in an historic building

Great stay of excellent value. We had our room upgraded to superior room which was very big. Quiet and elegant hotel at the urban oasis of Stockholm with historic background. Breakfast was good - we also came back for dinner in one of the evenings which was impressive. Highly recommended.

Love the property and the service. The bathroom had terrible lighting and the pocket door was awkward and hard to close. The sink design was hard to use with the ceramic rock in the middle

Wonderful location on a secluded island in the centre of Stockholm. It is about a 15 minute walk to Gamla Stan. The hotel is a historic building in which great care has been taken with the design inside and out. We loved the gardens and it was wonderful to sit outside on the terrace to have breakfast in the glorious summer sunshine. The breakfast was very good- freshly prepared with quality ingredients. Staff were always polite and helpful and our room was clean, quiet and very comfortable- although quite small. This is a lovely hotel and we very much look forward to our next visit.

Lovely quiet setting close to the city centre, but it was advertised as having AirCon, which it doesn’t have. That may not usually be an issue but we were there in a heatwave when temperatures were 30C. All they had was an air movement system which made little difference. Staff told us that the room would cool down overnight (obvious really as temperatures fall at night) but it still made for an unbearable night so we had to leave after the first night - thanks to Expedia for helping us sort the problem. We were also told that it would be difficult to find a hotel with AirCon in Stockholm as heat wasn’t usually a problem so far north. Needless to say it’s a modern European city so finding a modern hotel with AirCon in the city centre was easy

The hotel is in a lovely waterfront location, quiet and relaxed, and all the staff are so friendly and accommodating, a true escape from it all, and a mere 10 minutes easy walking into the city. Thank you all, you are amazing. Tack sa mychet.

Excellent design hotel - in a great location to enjoy the city but still feel you are away from it all… Hotel felt more like a beautiful Scandinavian designed apartment building home with many access routes without having to go through reception or busy lobbies all the time. Excellent restaurant with an extensive breakfast buffet and a small but beautifully formed menu for lunch and dinner. Saw this hotel 9 years ago on my first visit to Stockholm and knew i would stay when I returned , it exceeded all expectations.

Mysigt hotell med lugnt läge!

Mycket trevligt hotell vackert beläget i lugn omgivning. Fantastiskt frukost med godaste äggröran. Fina rum. Trevlig trädgård. Restaurangen serverar mycket bra mat i mysig miljö.

En oas mitt i Stockholm – naturnära lyx med gånga

Vi hade en underbar vistelse på Hotel Skeppsholmen. Ett hotell vi bott på många gånger. Det unika läget – lugnt och naturnära men ändå med promenadavstånd till centrala delarna av Stockholm – gör hotellet helt unikt. Byggnaden är vackert och varsamt renoverad med respekt för historien, och personalen var, precis som alltid, både professionell och hjärtligt välkomnande. Rekommenderas varmt!
