"This is an older hotel but it is right on the beach so great access and views. Definitely get a room with the balcony or patio facing the beach. Our room wasn’t ready when we got there at 4:15, we only booked about a half hour before, so we got upgraded to a corner room with a balcony and windows on 2 sides facing the beach. It also had a small kitchen in the upgraded room. The room was clean and the beds softer than most hotels but comfortable. There was a gas stove in the room for heat which we used as the nights get chilly in Sept. The bath with the shower and toilet are small and not updated but like I said this is an older hotel. Everything was clean though and you couldn’t beat the view. I would stay there again."

"This hotel exceeded our expectations and we wish we were able to stay longer. The lack of self parking was the only bug bare as we had to wait for the valet to bring our car round when we were running late, but that’s more on us than the hotel. If we were to return to Lake Tahoe we would definitely rebook here again."

"QR of tip should not be in the room, the room is not serviced daily. There is nothing in the room to inform guests that room will be not serviced unless a request is asked. It means if the complimentary coffee or tea are consumed. The guest has to request each time. Tipping is out of control, it seems to be entitlements these days."

"Perfect little wooded spot within a half hour of South Lake Tahoe. Front desk gentleman was very helpful and friendly and I stocked up on their free snacks and water before a big hike."

"Rustic with updated touches. Very clean and quiet. We had a view of the forest behind and birch trees starting to color in front. The kitchen was spotless and appliances fine. The complimentary ground coffee was really good. There are some food options, and others close by. We were going to Grover hot springs for a dip, and came to stay here for the first time. We’ll be back."
