Great place for the money. If you just want a place to stay that is right next to everyrhing, this is it, especially if you only sleep in your room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast sandwiches from the kitchen were awesome too.

Great location, easy walk to shopping and restaurants/bars. Room was very clean, and excellent A/C. Stairs only, no elevators but we made it work. It more than met our needs for the night.

Thie family that owns and operates this place are wonderful people. Although I mostly just came home at the end of the day and slept the room was clean and extremely comfortable. Rudy and his family are wonderful and I had a great experience.

The room was very clean. Bed very comfortable. AC worked perfectly. Rudy, the person who checked us in, was very nice and helpful. He even allowed us to get into our room 2 hours earlier than the scheduled check in time.

Perfect Location

The guest house was located a few blocks from the main shopping are and historical area. The waterfront is beautiful and there are many dining options!

The property was getting some renovation when we stayed (fresh paint and maybe more) but was about perfect for our one-night stay. Great location that is walkable to lots of things to see in Charlotte Amalie, clean and quiet. The proprietor was friendly and knowledgeable. Happy to recommend Midtown Guest House.

Nice hide out.

Only one thing could be add is a small fridge. The place is in a good location and the room that I stayed in I fell in love with the bed. The people were very helpful.

Authentic island living.

A taste of authentic island living right in the middle of town offering convenient walking distance to all Charlotte Amalie has to offer. Great west indian cuisine prepared by Chef Natalie. Beer & soda available on premises. Parking for a couple of vehicles if you have a rental. Clean, safe and a bargain at the price. A/C, cable, wi-fi, complimentary breakfast coffee.

The hotel was a good choice for people that wanted to be close to the downtown area. Very good restaurants and shopping in the area. Also, close to some historic areas if you're interested in that. The staff is friendly and always willing to help you. Beds are decent but not not great. Water pressure was disappointing but at least you had hot water. Air con worked excellent.

The property is an older property and needs some basic maintenance. We stayed for a night and I would call it a good choice. It wouldn’t be my first choice for a longer stay.

We actually enjoyed our short stay at Midtown Guest House. It's not going to work for everyone but, the staff is super friendly and they do what they can to make your stay comfortable. For the value conscious traveler this is THE place to stay in downtown Charlotte Amalie. It has all the basic needs and there is plenty of restaurants and shopping within a short, easy walk. We would probably stay here again if it were for 1 or 2 nights.

I stayed at 2 different hotels and also rented a house while on island. This was the better option of the hotels. Both were budget but this was slightly cleaner, had less stairs, and was a little more downhill so less of a walk to the central shopping/dining area. The front desk was great about letting me store my luggage so I could explore a bit more before flying out.
