Lovely perfect location clean beautiful hotel.
This is a brand new hotel still in development but the hotel staff were fantastic in ensuring our stay was memorable. The hotel was very clean and most staff were accommodating. Only staff that need a bit of work were the pool staff that didn’t speak very good English. They struggled to understand what we required. The location is brilliant not on top of the high action but literally a 2 minute walk to everything. The rooms were lovely and clean and perfect for our stay.
The breakfast and lunch meals were of high standard and food was fresh. Only downside was breakfast arrangements you only had 6 choices and only allowed one drink. A buffet breakfast would have been nicer as we like a hot breakfast and then a pastry or fruit plus go back for a top up coffee but none of this was allowed. The waiter specifically said no when we asked for more coffee.
The only other downfall was our flight was late at night and on check out at 10am the wonderful hotel reception staff let us keep our luggage in a safe room and we were able to stay round the pool. The downfall was on going to the airport we asked for a courtesy room to get changed and showered for our journey home and all they had was a changing room and toilets .. No showers. Such a shame and maybe as hotel is not ready yet this will change. In all a great stay and will most certainly return.
The hotel is huge but still unfinished. There is still building work but this didn’t bother us. The room was clean and very little noise can be heard from outside so sound proof but not totally. When we arrived, one lift wasn’t working but this was immediately rectified once they realised there was a problem.
One thing we gave 5 stars for was the staff. We requested to leave our luggage with them prior to our stay and our request was accommodated. Gio in reception showed us where we could leave our suitcases and he was also the one who checked us out afterwards. The process was very quick and efficient. It was appreciated as we had a very early flight and needed to rush to the airport.
There was a minor issue with the shower screen leaking but it didn’t bother us, we just requested extra bath mats to soak up the water.
Only issue for us was asking for a deposit and checking the room for any damage upon check out. It is refundable ( our room was ok so hopefully we will get the money back) but we feel this is quite a dated practice. However if the hotel has had issues of guests trashing the place in the past, I totally understand why they would do this. It just means extra time spent during check out. We have stayed in many hotels and can’t remember the last time a hotel checked the room before letting you check out. It just seemed like a very old practice but as I said, I can understand the reason for it.
Quite simply this hotel should not be open, all it’s doing is getting off to a very bad start. Pool was shut, no pool bars no seating no care, rat boxes everywhere clearly visible. The pool was advertised as open until the last day of October but this was the week before half term 29 everyday, the pool and sea views were the 2 main reasons we booked the hotel. Eventually we got the truth they had let all the pool staff have the same weeks holiday.
Only the top floor of rooms were open, the corridors had a prison like feel about them, not sure that every room needs a mirror on the ceiling, l don’t think my 80 year mother in law made any use out of hers….
We were uncompromising around the pool and eventually the front of house manager made the decision to open (also to the delight of the other guests) but no pool bar or restaurant. Everytime we wanted a drink a walk to the lift,,which took us down to the bar at reception. It’s the first hotel l've stayed in where you can’t charge anything on the room, phone was on charge in room so no way of paying after calling a manager etc they wouldn’t budge so went back to the room to collect phone that hadn’t charged as l’d taken key card out… gave up on drinks ( 2 sprites and a Fanta, wasn’t like l’d ordered 3 glasses of champagne….)
Breakfast was poor and service l could excuse due to the obvious newness of the staff but much more training needed, the restaurant is woefully small compared to the size of the hotel.
FOH mgr was brilliant
It was just too loud! Construction both outside and inside. Often there was building and drilling going on till the evening. To drown out the noise, the music by the pool was also very loud and so relaxing by the pool was very challenging!

Building incomplete, the halls weren’t air on so very warm; unable to adjust air conditioning in the room so it was very cold at night…. Only stayed one night, all things considered this was ok & great location.

Construction work from 7.30 in the morningz everyday…
I was disappointed with several aspects of my stay at the Vegas Resort in Malta.
For the first 3 mornings, I was woken up at 8am by loud construction noise-something that was never disclosed when I booked or at check-in. Transparency about this would have helped me manage my expectations.
Housekeeping did not have the habit of reading the “Do Not Disturb” light and kept entering my room when I was asleep or in the shower so every morning I had to approach them in the corridor to kindly let them know I am leaving. On my first night, I asked for water and was told to go to the supermarket, only to later discover bottled water already in the fridge-which shows poor communication between staff.
The room itself was clean but felt unfinished, with incomplete paintwork and an impractical shower design. The glass partition didn’t extend far enough, so water leaked all over the bathroom floor and sometimes even out into the room, despite being careful.
When I raised my concerns, I was offered a room at the Malta Apartments, but was warned about bar and party noise there. This left me choosing between morning construction noise or all-night bar noise. I stayed in my original room, and thankfully the construction noise stopped after a few days, but the experience was already compromised.
Overall, I felt let down by the lack of communication, unfinished facilities, and service issues. While staff did try to offer a solution, the overall quality of my stay did not meet expectations.

Amazing hotel, stayed here last year staff are nice and welcoming. Coming back next year :)
