Pelican Point Sanctuary was the perfect getaway. We stayed in the Blue Wren for two nights, and it exceeded our expectations. The space was beautifully designed, spacious, and the kitchen was very well-equipped. The location was ideal - a short walk or drive to the shops and cafés in St Helens and only 10 minutes drive from the Bay of Fires. The owners were incredibly friendly too, and made our stay even more enjoyable.

Lovely, tranquil accommodation with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the salt marshlands - we enjoyed watching the bird life. The unit was well equiped, clean and modern with a comfy bed and is only a short drive from St Helens. The hosts were friendly and very helpful, particularly when the power was out due to a storm. We would definitely stay here again.

No where to put our suitcases, bathroom very small, too many windows - light streaming into room at 5.30am. Long way out of main town. Nice people and very helpful. Washing machine and drier were very good.

Magical Studio Apartment.

This property is amazing. The grounds are very peaceful and tranquil. The studio had everything that we needed, coffee maker, cutlery, dishes, etc. The kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed. It was decorated very tastefully. There is a separate area with a washer and dryer, including detergent. Jerome was very helpful and friendly. My husband and I loved it here!

Nice place however hadn't been cleaned properly eg: cobwebs, spiders, ants. It looked like the rooms had only been roughly cleaned no attention to detail. Staff were friendly and helpful. I think that in the summer months it would be a much nicer place to stay . Heating was unsatisfactory with 1 small reverse cycle aircon.

A comfortable hotel on the way to the Bay of Fire

If you are going to the Bay of Fire, and looking for a comfortable stay on your way, this hotel is a very good option. The hotel is only about 10 min drive to the Bay of Fire, and the surroundings are amazingly beautiful. The hotel has very modern design and new furniture, and room is very clean and tidy when we enter (FYI I'm very picky about the cleanness). Are to improve: 1. fire alarm (luckily a fake one) was triggered around 3:00 in the morning for a few seconds, but nobody came to check it. 2. I saw a lot of small bugs in the kitchen at night, I kept the light in kitchen on for whole night so they won't enter the bedroom, and the bugs turn to be dead bodies in the morning ALL OVER the place, horrible. (this is easy if you don't plan to use the kitchen as me)

I booked 2 apartments.One is the new style,4 peoples have 1 washroom n toilet is separate. But another is 6 peoples 1 washroom with toilet. So poor for us to waiting. The apartment is comfortable n make us vy relaxable.
