"Gateway Madurai was like a paradise found in the busy streets of Madurai. The hilltop location provides a view of the entire city and the drive into the hotel is full of lush greenery and wildlife. The rooms are beautiful and the restaurant offers excellent options. The staff made our stay perfection from the start. Highly recommend"

"Overall, my experience at [hotel name] was excellent. The stay was comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff were attentive and friendly. I highly recommend it!. Several hotels are located nearby, and Saravana Stores is within walking distance as well."

"Ideal location set close to train station and temple. Staff helpful, one spoke good English. Hotel is in dire need of re-furbishment. Comfy mattress, decent aircon, WiFi adequate. Decor not great, old fashioned. Toilet and shower desperately needs refurb. Was clean but old stains remain that can’t be removed from cleaning."

"Perfect for night life, including shopping and dining. Near famous temple. Wonderful friendly staff."
