「They put me in the old building in a very run down room...not matching your photos...and very noisy near front on main road....they changed room but stayed in old building of astoria hotel with less noise but still a run down room and bathroom, as the new hotel building is across the street...」

「The room was impossibly dark giving an overall sense of dinginess that under scrutiny was fully deserved. The carpets and furnishings were well worn and there was an overall sense of tired malaise about the whole environment. The much vaunted evening buffet was of a comparable condition having been prepared well in advance of anticipated dining times. Equally the breakfast lacked the freshness of immediate preparation. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful but I suspect needing more guidance...
