Feces on the toilet, dirt on the bottom sheet.
Room 1407 August eight, nine, 10, 2025. 1 bedroom suite with kitchenette. Booked through Expedia.
I wonder if a staffer resold our room and pocketed the cash when we told them we couldnt arrive on the first day of our 3 day stay. We still paid for all 3 days. They said the hotel was sold out. Expedia showed one or two rooms available for around $1000 per night.
We first noticed the bottom sheet was wrinkled and had dirt on it but the bed appeared freshly made on the outside. When my wife went to use the bathroom she found feces splattered on the rim. I wish she had taken a picture instead of cleaning it but she needed to use the toilet.
We booked three nights but were unable to arrive on the first night. We called to arrange a late check-in for the following day since we were past the cancellation time. The hotel was sold out for the 8th except for one or two rooms which showed up online for around $1,000 a night. Did someone cash in on the vacant room we paid for?
I have a few other complaints but they pale in comparison. In general the room was grungy. The location was great.
Maybe I'm wrong about what happened. When the hotel is sold out through high season weekends it could just be overwhelmed staff, or indifference because they're full. Still, the empty apologies to other verified complaints ("we regret you didn't enjoy your stay with us...") might suggest there's no real accountability.
