Excellent location in downtown and near all historical sights. Directly across the street from the Governor's Mansion. Property could use an updating and some outside building repair work but overall the room was clean and the manager very hospitable. I would definitely stay here again. Excellent choice for the price and being a budget motel.

For the rate, the place was acceptable. Room/ bed were clean . The gentleman at front desk was very friendly and helped. We had a conflict with 1st room and he was quick to place us in a different room. I would stay here again.

The hotel and rooms are perfectly fine - everything works as it should and is clean, though the property is older. The location is great for seeing Springfield’s historical sites - most within walking distance. Don’t miss the Lincoln Home Historical Site (free tour of the home), the old State Capitol (site of Lincoln’s House Divided speech), and the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. Also, check out Lulu’s Diner and Sunrise Diner for breakfast, Whimsy’s Tea for a break, and Obed and Isaac’s for lunch and dinner. Anvil and Forge Brewery is great for cool craft beers and pub food.

Not at all like the pictures or description. The rooms and property are run down, outdated, and nasty. I paid premium price to stay in what looked like a really nice place, then follow gps to pull into what looked more like a run down budget inn. Do not recommend, will not ever stay again. We enjoyed our stay here and Vijay was very kind to us and offered us early check in offered water and upon check out, took great care of our bags to continue exploring more of the town. Everything worked out well along with clean and comfortable room with ancient feel to it. Also, it's walking distance from the state capitals museums and more. We would stay here again!

It was okay. They are working on it. The beds were clean and did the job. The room smelled terribly of mildew when I walked in. I ran the AC and after a few hours the smell was gone completely. The paint on the ceiling peeling. It must of been a while since the room was rented. The shampoo and body wash were out. The elevator worked. The outside property was clean. The area around it all seems to be historical buildings and under renovations. It will be cool to see what comes of it.

The staffer at check-in was extremely friendly and helpful. She got me checked me in and gave me a complimentary bottle of water. The walk to the room was a bit cracked and could use a masonry touch-up. The room was clean, but the carpet was a bit dingy.

The dirtiest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The carpet had some kind of black, sooty substance on it. The room was non smoking, yet stank of cigarettes. The toilet paper holder and towel rack in the bathroom were broken. There was a small hole in the wall of the bathroom that was plugged up with klenix and/or toilet paper. The sheets were stained and CRUSTY. The mattress itself was covered in dark stains and blotches. Literally the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. The kind of gross that makes you feel dirtier and dirtier with every second you spend in the room. Truly nightmarish levels of filth and grime. The staff was friendly, but no amount of friendliness can make up for how unbelievably awful the rooms are.

When we pulled into the parking lot and we immediately realized we could not stay here. Looked very scary. Several abandon cars in the lot in different state if being stripped. Sketchy looking characters also hanging out outside. We were honestly afraid to get out of the car and left.
