"The room was clean, but smelled of stale smoke. They were smoke free rooms. There were burn marks on the bathroom sink and night stand and the table in the room. No one ever came to the room in a 3 night stay for New towels or toilet paper. The heat worked fine. The microwave was dirty and the shower curtain had mold on it. I wiped everything down with a clorox wipes. My door had no dead bolt on it. It was broken. On the last night my neighbors were arguing all night. I was scared but eventually fell asleep. They sat right outside the door to smoke which came into my room. Property States there are designated smoking areas. I don't think outside my door was one of them. The beds were comfortable. The pillows were ok. The blanket was thin. I think painting the stair case and the benches and sanding or getting new furniture to replace the ones with burn marks would be a good idea. And replacing the mismatched welcome mats that are very worn and ripped up would help also. Maybe screen the people staying there. I'm pretty sure my neighbors were addicts. Also the van with the Mississippi plates that looks abandoned was not so nice for curbside appeal. I wasn't expecting perfection for the price. But i was truly concerned about mine and my sons safety. I used to love in the area. Thank God i had friends close my who stayed with me while my son was off visiting friends. "

"We booked a stay at the Old Orchard Inn and had a mixed experience overall. The check-in process was confusing from the start. We initially walked into the building shown in the listing photos—a beautifully restored colonial—but there was no one there. After a few minutes, a staff member arrived and directed us to a different building on the property for check-in. It was then that we learned our room was located in another building, which was noticeably less charming than the one advertised. The room itself had a few issues. The ceiling fan was missing a blade and couldn’t be used, and there was no temperature control—our only option was to open a window to let in cold air. The bed was fairly comfortable, but oddly set up with just two king pillows and one small pillow. The decor felt dark and dated, with mismatched furnishings, including an old piano that didn’t work. Please note we did not eat at the Inn so new food review. On the positive side, the location was convenient, parking was easy and plentiful, it seemed like a safe facility, there was a nice looking (closed for the season ) pool area, and both staff members possibly owners, we interacted with during check-in and check-out were pleasant. It’s also worth noting that our stay was during the off-season, which may have impacted the overall experience. Overall, while there were some positives, the listing could be clearer about accommodations and the property could benefit from some updates and maintenance. "

"In a pinch, this would be ok - but I wouldn't recommend the place. The room we had was overly scented with some sort of room freshener. Fortunately we had an air filter/purifier with us and that reduced the smell. The doorknob for the bathroom door looked like it could fall off at any time. While there was no carpet (a good thing in my opinion), when I walked around without shoes on, my socks ended up looking disgusting. T"

"Friendly staff at check in - allowed us in a few minutes early, with no fee. Room was clean, warm and well lit. I missed having a table on one side of the bed and the heating/cooling unit is very loud. Otherwise no complaints."

"What a lovely little spot! My cabin was clean, well stocked, and cozy. The staff was accommodating to my late check in and early departure. The property is close to the beach, highway, and numerous retail/dining options. Portland is just 25-30 minutes away. I definitely recommend Elmwood Motor Court! "

"Our stay was great. It was a nice place to sleep and close to all the locations we wanted to explore. It was a cozy stay and the woman I was communicating with was very friendly. The motel room itself was a little old and not well lit. They did a nice job decorating but you can tell there are some fixes that need to be done. But hey, overall, I would recommend it to someone, it’s just a cozy affordable place to stay. "
