"I’m sorry to leave a negative review, but I feel like I was a bit misled into staying here. The glowing Expedia reviews were the main reason I booked, but when we arrived, we immediately saw why the ratings were so high. The hotel had a wheel you could spin to “win” something if you left a review — and they asked us to do it before we even saw our room. That didn’t feel right, so I waited until after our stay to share an honest experience.
To be fair, the staff was very friendly, the pool was great, and everything looked clean. Unfortunately, the room itself was a disappointment.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable and creaked loudly with even the slightest movement — enough to wake the other person up. We could even hear the bed in the next room doing the same thing. They described the rooms as “minimalist,” but it went too far. There was no garbage can, barely any lighting, and nowhere to put luggage. No drawers, no shelves, not even a simple surface. We spent the week living out of suitcases on the floor like a couple of vagabonds.
Breakfast being free sounded nice, but it wasn’t good at all. We tried it once and didn’t go back.
Overall, the staff and pool were the highlights, but the room setup and uncomfortable bed made the stay far less enjoyable than expected. I wish the reviews had reflected the actual experience rather than the incentivized one."
