"Hotel was clean and large room. However, the male staff on reception were very miserable and no eye contact when checking in. One was also reading a fiction book at one point. The room was cold and no way of turning the temperature up or down as the control on the wall was turned off, with no way of turning on. Slept in trousers and jumper, which did expect to have to do."

"The good bits: Room was a good size, bed was comfy, as we're the pillows and everything was very clean. Breakfast time booked to avoid overcrowding, function room activities couldn't be heard from the bedrooms. Not so good bits: window was edged with green growth externally, bathroom mirror lights not working, dated shower fitting over the bath. Hospitality tray ok, usual choice, breakfast not very inspiring and not very warm. Carpets in communal areas showed signs of damage and were stained in parts. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a decent enough place but not overly impressed especially as the pool and spa access is outside the hotel - not great on a cold and windy evening"

"Yes it was terrible. On arrival, they changed our room several times. There was no heating and no warm water. we complained to the management and was told we would get a refund but nothing was done. We didn't go the 2nd night and we still didn't get anything. Reported to expedia, was told they would look into it but it's been weeks now and no feedback. It's so sad because I have had multiple unpleasant experience with expedia and only just returned. But I guess they've not changed neither have they improved their services. It's such a shame as we had to book another hotel for the second night. Please be careful when you book on this site."

"Lovely clean room perfect for my family of two young children staying … Clean and comfy bedroom, plenty of added extras - mini fridge, iron, hairdryer etc. pool was lovely - warm pool and steam room/jacuzzi very nice. Tasty brekkie with so many options including a cute children’s table! Staff friendly and helpful and went to extra mile to make us a hot chocolate on the evening for our children with cute smiley faces on when that technically wasn’t on sale at the bar… We will definitely be going back! Thank you "

"Brrakfast was lovely although the pastry selection had vastly diminished within 10 minutes of breakfast opening and didnt get topped up or refreshed. Overall breakfast selection and quality was outstanding and served quickly. Room standard was also very good with lots of room. Friendly hotel and bar staff and would definitely recommend and stay again. Lots of available parking also."

"Rooms were clean and modern and the bed was comfy. However, the off road parking was about 300m in a town car park. The water in the shower was just tepid with no hot water at all in the wash basin taps. After informing the management , i got hot water in the shower but only with the flow lowered to almost a trickle.. I also got tepid water from the sink taps, but it suddenly went cold again halfway through cleaning my teeth. There were also instructions for a coffee machine but no machine and i dont like instant coffee.. I will not be staying there again."
