As a place to stay it was okay. There was no restaurant as it is being renovated, luckily there was a good Indian restaurant virtually opposite. Parking is £3 per 24 hours unless included in your booking. Breakfast was okay but mainly carbs. Would I stay there again probably not

Local homeless sat in the lobby baked all day and night. Spa was out of service and looks like it has been a few times but never mentioned to us as part of the booking at any time. Rooms are dated and no working air con so was left with a cheap fan to blow the hot air around. Car park was full of broken glass.

Good service and standard, for the price

A good base for a value hotel. Some of the decor is quite old but the room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a very strong internet connection and air conditioning.

Firstly, the staff were lovely. I was travelling with my disabled mum and noted when booking we would need a ground floor room. We booked a "suite" with a bed for two and a bed for one so that we would have enough space to manoeuvre. Unfortunately we hadn't been given a room on the ground floor but this was quickly rectified. The room was clean and tidy. The mattresses were extremely hard. There were disability modifications for the toilet which worked well, but there wasn't anything for the shower in the bathtub. We weren't able to wheel mum into the room in the chair as the doorway was not wide enough, and there were two sets of double doors we had to get through from front entrance to room door and unfortunately we could not get through them without opening both doors which was also awkward for ingress and egress. Occasionally the staff helped but mostly it was us on our own or kind guests holding doors for us. Parking costs £3 per day, however we got this for free with a disabled card. There were two disabled parking spots and spots for EV charging too. We were offered breakfast for an extra charge but didn't get this as it didn't work with our plans. The coffee and tea amenities in the room weren't great, but there was a relatively cheap coffee machine in the main reception which worked in a pinch. Every person, staff or guest, we ran into was lovely, friendly, kind, and we enjoyed socialising outside with them. We would go again.

Great value

Great location for us travelling down through the spine of the country. Especially with the 24 hour reception as we arrived 2am after a show. Comfy beds, decent size room, bath, hot shower, tea and coffee facilities.

Room was dated and worn, and smelt a bit musty. Dust everywhere including remote control. Shower didn’t work and handle on bath was broken. Told parking was free on website but it’s £3 a night. Only ideal if you need a quick kip before moving on. Won’t be staying again

I was informed that the spa isn’t operational until later in the year (which is not what was advertised). The room had no controller for the air conditioning unit and was not able to use it without. The bath was broken and the toilet seat was loose. The breakfast that was £9 each was poor as there was very little there. This experience was improved slightly by some if the staff - but in the whole I was extremely disappointed
