Cottages in South Dakota

"An excellent stay, thank you!"

"On our 8 day trip this cabin was, by far, the best place we stayed. It really is very remote, so be sure you are ok with that. I believe it was something close to 12 miles back to Custer and most of that is dirt/gravel roads. For us, this was perfect. Super peaceful, beautiful property. Even horses on the property that were friendly. The owners were super friendly and helpful and great to chat with. We will absolutely stay here again in the future. We are already looking forward to it."

"Unfortunately, our stay fell well below basic cleanliness and sanitation standards. Upon arrival, we found numerous mouse droppings on the kitchen counter, spider webs, and other cleanliness issues. We also found wood debris on the counter and a soaking wet bath towel that raised concerns about whether the towels had been properly laundered. We cleaned the mouse droppings ourselves because we needed a sanitary surface for food preparation. Although the property manager offered to send someone...

"Comfortably fit our family of 6. Kitchen was nice and functional. Not much seating for eating but during warm weather, front porch would work good. WiFi and tv options were good. Easy location. Clean. "

"Our host was very responsive once I knew I had to text her. Would have loved something soft to sit on on the porch after a long motorcycle ride. Great cabin!"

"Remodeled house, clean and has all features needed for a family"

"👍"

"My concern was the lack of heat upon arrival - I understand the gas stove needed repair but it look a day for the electric heat to warm the rooms and floors (the bathroom floor was the worst!) The air temp the first morning was 54 degrees. "

"Great stay at The Custer House! The house was very clean. The multiple bedrooms were able to accommodate all family members. Great location in Custer and the neighborhood was very quiet. We were able to get an early check-in. And, we saw deer nearby. Excellent all-round! Thanks much!"

"Lots of space/beds. Nice having (2) full bathrooms and large kitchen "

"The property was nice but nothing special. "
