"I was such a beautiful place to stay! There was plenty of room, and plenty of pillows - rare in Japan! The decoration was very tasteful and welcoming. "I really love that the staff was so nice. The rooms were very very clean. I was also able to enjoy a private Hanson. I have lots of tattoos so it was nice to be able to go into one. I also have a 15-year-old son who wanted to try and on and really wasn’t prepared for the whole experience if you know what I mean. So he went into the private one as well. It is perfectly located and I actually love that town. I had a really good time. The people are so sweet."

"This was my favourite place we stayed on our trip so far. It was so quiet and peaceful both in the hostel and the neighbourhood. It’s about a 20 minute walk to get to Nara Park and you’re likely to run into some deer on your way there as they tend to come right into town in addition to hanging in the park. There are laundry facilities and a smoking area in the back garden. Rice porridge is served each morning and there are free and paid beverages available. There was no staff on site due to the financial repercussions of the pandemic, but the autonomous luggage storage and check-in instructions were easy to follow. I will definitely be returning in the future!"

"The hotel was the least “commercial” of the places we stayed in our 11-day trip to Japan. It was smaller and a little more quaint. We appreciated the little bags with the hotel name on them into which we could put selected amenities. The hotel’s location was wonderful— just steps from the Nara Park, as well as lots of little shops and eateries. Staff were polite and helpful. The Onsen wasn’t our thing— I had used them as a college student and am too self- conscious (and traveling with a 13 year old daughter). Our shower only stayed on for increments of about 30 seconds, which seemed odd… I thought it might be a water-saving measure but would have liked to understand it better. Otherwise, I can’t complain. We had a wonderful (albeit short) visit to Nara! The hotel is cute, location is great, and staff are helpful !"

"Very convenient location. Right next to the train station. They give you breakfast included. The room had everything you could need and the window had proper black out blinds. The bed was really comfy and the pillows were far better than the other hotels were we stayed in Japan. Bare in mind, if you are a foreigner, they give you pijamas to go to the common baths, but in therr you got to stay naked and don't have any tatoos."
