Comfortable stay

We stayed in Room 832 with a seaview. The bed is comfortable. I would say the staff were friendly. One think I do think the hotel need improve on is by providing drinking water to hotel guests. We only found a bottle of 2.75 Euro mineral water in our room. We don't mind drinking from the tap but we were told by the last hotel we stayed in that Malta's tap water is not good to drink from. We do not want to produce more plastic bottles so we ended up refilling everytime from the gym. I would appreciate if there some water refill machine in the hotel to encourage less plastic bottle usagae.

AX The Victoria Hotel in Malta We had a brilliant and enjoyable week in Malta. We were welcomed at check in by MIRAZ. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony, thankyou. MIRAZ explained about how breakfast worked, timings for the gym and swimming pool and other eating options in the hotel and adjoining hotel, the Palace Hotel. We used the gym and indoor swimming pool a number of times. All clean and tidy, towels available for your use. We purchased an “I see malta pass” which included various activities around Malta. Forgot the ladies name but she was very helpful in the sister hotel, Palace Hotel, thanks to her. The breakfast offering was enough to satisfy most people. The staff each day were very attentive and friendly. The room cleaning service team were very good. All staff always smiling and offering to help. We had an issue with our safe on our day of check out and ISMITA help resolve this very quickly. Walkable location to the ferries, but a steep hill on your way back to the hotel, so bear this in mind. Overall a pleasant stay and we would recommend to other users .

Spotless large room with separate large shower,hotel is 10 minutes walk from Sliema promenade . Staff are great , excellent check in and had a meal in the hotel pub , fish and chips which was excellent . There is 2 swimming pools apparently one indoors and one on the rooftop which i missed because of my accident. Downside was i only was there for 2 of my 5 night stay as i was hospitalised after a fall . The hotel was great in that they packed all my luggage and delivered it to the hospital the next day for free but lost one of my tablet chargers.

It's so easy to be critical on these reviews, but quite frankly I could not fault this place, everyone was super nice and helpful, any problem was dealt with very promptly. A well run efficient hotel. It's extremely clean, a sweet pleasant floral scent throughout the hotel was noticable. And the rooms are worthy of a 5*+. I have stayed at the nearby sister hotel several times and they never fail to impress me, believe me I would be critical if I needed to. But this hotel will be getting my repeat custom again and again.. first class hotel.

Staff was great! Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast had a nice variety. There is a strong scent that they use throughout, which wasn't to my liking. The hotel is also looking a little tired and dated, and can use a refresh, but still well maintained. Location was also great.

Room was very clean, we opted for a classic room for a 3 night stay. There wasn't a view, but we were on a city break and didnt want to spend much time in the room. Happy hour in the bar served a very nice Aperol Spritz and the food in the bar was good quality and inexpensive. This hotels biggest asset is its staff, without exception, they were friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble. Good location for everything, so long as you are fit enough for an incline. We would certainly return for another stay.

AMAZING hotel and the best staff I’ve ever encountered. Just returned from a 4 night break at the AX Victoria. We had the best time. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food was great with lots of choices. The hotel is situated in a great location close to the seafront but nicely set back away from busy areas. It has a fantastic rooftop pool with beautiful views of the city and beyond. I would recommend staying at this lovely hotel.

Great hotel base in Sliema for visiting the area. It’s on a hill, in a built up area, so may not suit travellers looking for a sea view or with mobility issues. However, it’s only a 5-10 minute walk down to the waterfront. The hotel shares pool, spa and buffet facilities with the 5* AX Palace which was great. Our room was over looked and faced directly into the next building, which was disappointing but not an issue as we spent so little time in our room. Our twin room was spacious, well equipped & maintained, although did not have USB charging points. We booked Half Board and were delighted that this included a bottle of wine and water each evening. The staff were friendly and service was efficient. The rooms were immaculate and cleaned to a high standard by the housekeeping team. We really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic hotel. Great location. Rooms are lovely and clean and serviced daily. Facilities are great, especially the roof pool. Breakfast was exceptional and the staff were so helpful. We would certainly stay there again.
