「This place is truly unique. We were met at reception and shown to the breakfast room and various lounges, then to our room. All had spectacular views. There are tea and coffee making facilities in a kitchen area (as well as in the room) and an honesty bar. All are decorated to a 5-star standard. We ate at the local pub a short walk away along with other residents and had a very pleasant evening. The carpet was dirty and the walls were peeling. The beds were very uncomfortable. It was shocking to see after such a high rating. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The only downfall was in the spa area where the steam room was not open and the jacuzzi stopped working on my third day there. Other than that it was so good to be able to use the other facilities. The hotel is also located in a superb setting and is so peaceful!」
