I took this in March in Sintra, Portugal! It's at the fairy tale castle Pena Palace :). This is one of the lovely close-up views. It's is a Romanticist castle that stands on the top of a hill in the Sintra Mountains. And undoubtedly one of the most iconic places in Portugal. And a dream come true to visit it! It is a national monument and constitutes one of the major expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in the world. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. It is also used for state occasions by the President of the Portuguese Republic and other government officials. Thanks to Wikipedia for help ;).

A quinta da Regaleira fica situada a uma pequena distância do Centro Histórico de Sintra. É considerado Imóvel de Interesse Público desde 2002 e faz parte da paisagem cultural de Sintra, classificada como Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO em 1995. É composta pelo palácio, capela, magníficos jardins, lagos, grutas e construções enigmáticas, lugares que ocultariam significados alquímicos, como os da Maçonaria, Templários e Rosa-cruz. A sua arquitetura evoca os estilos românico, gótico, renascentista e manuelino.

Quinta da Regaleira is situated a short distance from the Historic Center of Sintra. It is considered to be a Property of Public Interest since 2002 and is part of the cultural landscape of Sintra, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. It consists of the palace, chapel, magnificent gardens, lakes, caves and enigmatic buildings, places that would conceal alchemical meanings such as those of Freemasonry, Templars and Rosicrucians. Its architecture evokes the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Manueline styles.
