The hotel was clean and very spacious. It is nicer than you see in the pictures. The kitchen was fully equipped and in good conditions. The staff was polite.The pool is rite in front of the room with is very convenient but you will have to drive by car if you want to go to the beach specially if you are with kids. We have included breakfast. The menu is limited but it was well prepared. The room hasnt any protection for the mosquito, and the windows are not 100% closed, the window are in a ventilation structure which the mosquitos can enter to the room easily. If you have kids you have to go prepared with repellent and room repellent equipment.

As a solo traveler I wanted to try a different type of stay and went for the apartment experience. The resort is nice but very spaced out so I found myself further from the beach than I would have preferred (my apt was in the gardens). The staff is definitely kind; I do think communication could be improved when scheduling airport transport, no one responded when I reached out for my arrival. Upon departure I was able to make my request, but I did have to reach out again because they seemed to have forgotten I requested to be picked up from my room first (due to luggage) but my taxi after checkout was there and waiting on time. There were also days when 2-3 times a day someone would stop by to try to replenish towels and while I appreciate their attentiveness each person seemed to be unaware that my room had already been attended to. Only the bedrooms are air conditioned and while the living room has the doors that can be opened to let a great breeze in the mosquitos (especially at night) prevent that a bit at least for me. The resort is very forthcoming about the ants and mosquitos but even upon arrival with no food left out and the trash empty they were pretty rampant in the kitchen only and as someone who really dislikes bugs it just made me avoid the area. The private pool is shared amongst those staying in that area and is therefore in need of more pool chairs, there were 8 but 2 were broken. Overall, I think this would be a cool stay for a family with a car.

Beautiful property for a little slower paced vibe. Ocean is accessible and crystal clear blue. We stayed at the shore and ot was gorgeous with ocean views from our room. Food is good. Phanesa was fabulous in scheduling all our pre arrival needs - golf, daily breakfast and adding additional guests. The only downfall is "island time" absolutely applies. Service for meals or asking for an additional water can take much more time than you'd expect. However, I would recommend and would return.

Everyone was extremely courteous and welcoming. The Staff was went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Making themselves available around the clock and extremely accommodating. The only thing I wasn’t pleased with was the all-inclusive breakfast which consisted of the same meal. Everyday. No substitutes. Also the website advertised a grass tennis court, which it was not.

The property at Blue Bay is stunning, with an incredible ocean and beach view, though there’s limited shade from the sun. If you’re seeking entertainment, this might not be the place for you as it has a more laid-back atmosphere. For the last two days of our stay, there was construction next door, and the loud banging in the mornings was frustrating. The room itself was lovely, though the main living area doesn’t have air conditioning—only the bedrooms are air-conditioned. The toaster was broken, and despite asking for a replacement, I had to wait until the next morning, only to find it still hadn’t been replaced. I had to go back to reception to follow up. When I went to prepare breakfast, I discovered there was no frying pan in the kitchen. Quite a few inconveniences.

The staff here are amazing. Also, there are cats on the beach, and we were told they are fed and cared for. This property is beautiful and quiet--you can tell that we're mixed in with vacation homes on the property and tourists. The location is in the middle of the west side of the island--so if you want "more party" or even more dining options, those are a 30 min drive one direction. Turtles and the more hiking are a 40 min drive the other direction. Airport is a 15 min drive. The only reason for 4 stars is that the facilities need to be updated in terms of security for the Shore Villa. We have 2 fobs/2 keys for 8 adults, which was not enough--we felt like we were in Fort Knox, but vacation style. A bracelet style fob for access to at the beach in the very least would make more sense. For the price it is to stay at the Shore, we should be able to get 2 more actual keys to the villa. Other than that, everything was wonderful. I would stay here again, but probably just choose a room/apartment not in the Shore, because everywhere else on the resort (Garden, etc) it's not on lockdown. Again the staff is very nice and we know there was nothing they could do to remedy the key situation at the time--we're just expressing it here for rentals on Shore. Finally, this area would do well with a little coffee shop on the beach.
