"Pros:
-Spa was outstanding but very expensive. Some of the best massages we have ever received.
-The room was clean and modern.
-The partial ocean view was lovely.
-Food was good, but options were few.
-The pool was very nice.
-The beach area was excellent and swimming was great.
-Were accommodating to younger children who visited us while we were there - although I would say this was not designed for large families.
Less than ideal:
-The drinks were very expensive and mediocre for the price.
-The service at pool and beach was very slow. We waited 3 hours for a simple order of pizza and and 4 hours to finally get a drink we ordered at 11:30 that morning. The server apologized several times but still could not manage to remember to bring it. It seemed like the beach staff were disconnected from the hotel staff.
-Some of the beach and pool staff were rather juvenile and lacked professionalism - one beach staff member walked up behind my 5 year old grandson and tried to scare him. It was bizarre and unneccessary.
-The hotel smelled like an Indian ashram - which is definitely an odor that one must become accustomed to. We found it too intense in the lobby and food areas.
A pleasant stay in an above average spa resort hotel that still needs to work on its quality of service, communication, and staff. "
