The Hotel Salem
8/10 Good
"Centrally based in Salem. Easy to get to. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and bedding and pillows were of good quality. Room was good sized but smelled a little musty. Carpet, furniture and fixtures are dated. A little more expensive to stay here than what I would expect at that price. I did not eat breakfast but did get coffee and the breakfast selection seemed pretty good. Used the fitness center which was tiny but sufficient with a treadmill, elliptical and a full set of weights and bench, got the job done.Would like to see inside of this property updated though."

"Heaven, at the front desk was excellent! As was the older gentleman (I didn't get his name). Both were very helpful and made our stay better. The food was good, but not as good as when we were there 5 or 6 years ago."

"The room was quite for being next to the freeway. Very comfortable bed and bedding. The hotel was full. The breakfast area was clean and refreshed often with fresh food. Staff was very pleasant. The only negative was the elevator was not working. I would definitely stay again."
