"People were friendly but the place was kind of rundown and my supposedly smoke free room smelled like an old ash tray. Had to leave 2 days early for family emergency and couldn't get a refund. Won't stay there again"

"This hotel is very charming. The room was very nice looked over the Mississippi river. The bed was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was listed as top rated, but was typical hotel breakfast. It was served up rather than help yourself. Im sure that saves a lot of waste and it employs additional staff. The best part is the location you can not beat the location. Step out the door and you're on the bluff looking over the Mississippi river admiring spectacular sunsets. I would recommend the Grand Hotel and plan on returning. "

"It's a beautiful place. There was no coffee maker in the room. If that matters to you, it really matters. I drove to the Dollar General and bought one. "

"The staff were extremely helpful! However, the room was dreadful. The USB ports for charging our phones didnt't work, the toilet seat had all the paint peeling off & needs replacement. And the toilet was leaking water all over the bathroom floor. The owner needs to sort it out asap!! Overpriced too!!!"
