TV didn't work - had to change rooms because it is tied into the billing. maintenance team tried to fix it. Then were fine.
Breakfast made my husband and I sick. Could have been the greasy thin bacon that was way overcooked.
The new room had a bathroom faucet that had very little water coming out of it. We called maintenance and the guy came looked at it and decided it was the faucet filter that needed changed. He changed it and we didn't have any more problems with it. The thermostat on the wall didn't work but the one on the splitter did. We had to have maintenance tell us that. Then the sensor in the microwave didn't work. We lived with it. The dishwasher was a complete mess. It made so much noise you couldn't hear tv so we couldn't run it unless we were there and the tv was off. All of the maintenance issues cost us a lot of time. Time to call them. Time to have them come up and fix things. The service people only changed the towels and wash clothes when we requested it and then we would ask them to change the trash cans too. One time the girl handed me the bags to change them. I did. Again, for 250.00/night I expected better. I had to stay there during the ice storm for a couple of days longer. I have stayed at this same place before and had no trouble. Then when I got the bill emailed to me I noticed my address wasn't my address. They said they can't change it because I booked through you at Expedia. I got no points for staying there and don't hav
Everyone here is so friendly and we absolutely love the breakfast. They have a variety of options and the area is kept clean and inviting. I had stayed at this property on multiple occasions and it really is a second home. The staff goes above and beyond to make the stay comfortable.
My flights were cancelled all day so I didn’t make it in until late. When I arrived my room was having difficulty with the hot water. I called the front desk and the promptly moved my room. They even sent someone to help me move my things. My room was clean and the heater worked great as it was 25-40 degrees during my visit. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I’m planned a trip to Shreveport again and will be staying there for sure!!!
Nice suite layout, complete kitchen. Hotel reportedly replaced HVAC window units and wall thermostats appear functional but don't do anything. Apparently a note or advisory at check-in is way too helpful. Working controls are on the window unit. Room smells pretty musty/dusty for 2019 construction.
The property and room were fine. The breakfast was slim. The main issue is the hotel charged my credit card after I had paid Expedia for the room 5 days in advance. I had a 40 minute chat with Expedia and another 20 minute phone call to resolve the issue. The Expedia agent told me the hotel had charged Expedia’s virtual card for the room, but the hotel couldn’t see it and charged my card too. That is totally unacceptable, and should have been between the property and Expedia. Maybe next time, the hotel will contact Expedia and actually solve the issues and not make it my problem. I am giving the property benefit of the doubt that they weren’t trying to scam me. Barely.
The room and hotel overall were really nice. I like how Home2 Suites are set up with snack options available 24/7 downstairs. Getting to the hotel was difficult because of construction happening on the main highways (not the hotel's fault!). Overall, a good place to stay.
At check-in, I was advised there would be a "charge of $25 for incidentals." I am not sure what the purpose of your website is when hotels listed on it can add a 12.5% charge to the prices you quoted for "incidentals."
The staff was polite and friendly, room was clean, and appeared to be well kept, but the A/C did not kick on all night. By the time I realized it I was already in bed and thinking it was just slow to cool, but it actually never came on. Apparently, it was just pushing air around. They actually had it set on "Heat" when I got there. Why the heat was on, I have no idea since it was in the 90s outside. If they were trying to save money by not cooling off rooms, I get it, but to have the room set on heat made no sense. Should have had it totally off or on Cool but set on 80. The alarm clock in the room went off as it had apparently been set and not turned off, so interrupted what little bit of deep sleep I was getting.
I went for a higher end hotel because I wanted a good nights sleep, but the lack of AC defeated that. I used you website because it listed a cheaper price than going through the hotel's website, that was also pointless due to the $25 "incidentals" charge. Disappointed all around.
clean room, nice staff, it could use more parking toward the front but overall it's a great place to stay and I have stayed here the last couple of times that I have came to Shreveport.
