Clean and very comfortable space, large room with air conditioning. Getting to and from the train stations was easy (straight shot, 20 minute walk). Convenient location with gardens and castle within walking distance. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend.

Public bath is very crowded, you have to line up for shower. No room-cleaning if you’re staying for two nights, not even tidying up your bed / basic vacuum. The hotel branding is trying to go young but seems forgoing the basics of Japanese-hospitality. Hotel location is great though.

"子供達がちょうど良い感じで恐竜に興味を持っていたので福井恐竜博物館へ連れて行きたくて予約。時期的にどこも満室状態の中、少しだけリーズナブルな河鹿荘を発見。最初はレビューが一つもついていないので怪しいと調べてみると改装オープン直前だった模様。 結果的に大満足の2泊3日になりました。小川と山の斜面に直面しながら登るエレベーターに全室、大浴場や湯上がり所までマウンテンビューで緑に癒されました。湯上がり所のちょっとした遊び場、プレイルーム、卓球場に子供達も大満足。ブッフェ形式の夕食と朝食は、ブッフェにありがちな一度食べたら飽きてしまうようなこともなく、両親は地酒も堪能して大満足でした。（特に美味しかったもの:ガスエビの天ぷら、加賀塩豚、鰤刺身、甘海老刺身、百万石米、茄子煮浸し、金沢おでん）あと、家族全員が加賀棒茶にハマった。 ..."

"I had paid for 5 nights at check in. However, the meeting ended after two days. Although the hotel staff said it was not a problem, and gave me an update receipt at check out, I have not seen a refund for the 3 days I did not stay at the hotel. It has been two weeks since I checked out."
