"This is a beautiful, peaceful hotel! It's so warm and calming. The proximity to the train station was incredibly convenient, we loved not having to drag our suitcases far from the train and shuttle bus area. The staff were super lovely and we're happy to speak to us in English (our Japanese isn't up to scratch). The washer-dryer in the room was awesome, and the room was a great size with plenty of room for us both to have our suitcases open at the same time. The room was also beautiful, really appreciated the furniture and shoji screens on the windows. The top floor has an awesome common space with chairs, a balcony, and foot bath with absolutely amazing views over Takayama and the mountains surrounding. We were so pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our stay here."

"Room was clean and quite spacious for Japanese standards. Parking was very convenient using a system of reserved space, but the garage was a bit hard to find at first because the entrance is around the back of the hotel and not clearly marked. I left my airpods after checkout but a phone call to the hotel had them deliver it to my next hotel where we were staying. Much appreciated! Highly recommend!"

"Very misleading. Very expensive and at 315.00 a night we were shocked to hear there was no shower in the room. Sleeping was difficult on the uncomfortable futons. Camping would have been a better choice🙄"

"We were lucky enough to have the private hot tub, and it had a view of the city, which was lovely. The staff spoke English. The grounds were very clean. The room was clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was close enough to everything."
