Download the Shanghai Disneyland app before you go. Then you can get Fast Passes online.
Can be more expensive between Feb-May but is not as crowded. Avoid holidays. Very few long waits, can easily manage to see everything. Food is always expensive though

Designed for Mainland Chinese audience, so don't expect a lot of English (except signage) and be aware that most food options are Chinese as well. Shanghai can be pretty cold in December and January so dress warmly. Food is extremely expensive in the park, but you really don't have any other options since they don't allow you to bring food in.
