「My husband didn’t like having to go up 60+ stairs to our room and he found the bed a bit ‘lumpy’. We didn’t have breakfast as we left at 6.30 am to catch the ferry. Stair carpet looks tired and ready for replacement. Conveniently located for the ferry port and near to the beach front. Plenty of restaurants offering good menu choices in the area.」

「Lovely place with wonderful staff. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Very clean. Only issue is that it is an old building so has noisy floors that creak. I would certainly stay here again with great value」

「Valerie was very accommodating with any questions we had or for giving us tips such as when our train was cancelled and we had to get a taxi to Caen. It was nice to have breakfast waiting for us in the morning when we had an early tour and she always had a homemade dessert. It’s a simple lodging and the location is perfect.」

「Charming stay in a beautiful, classical manse in Bayeaux in the Normandy region. Though not in Bayeux town, the location is convenient for a full-day D-Day experience (my reason for visiting). The owner recommended a great place for dinner and provided home-made apricot and red currant confitures, both lovely with croissants and breads.」

「The owner was personable and attentive. So much memorabilia. It was fantastic. We will stay again! The room was clean, good was fresh and great. And, one house off the beach!! Couldn't ask for a better experience.」

「A lovely old house in a secluded village in Normandy, with a few spacious rooms that have been tastefully refurbished. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast is good, although I would have preferred it to be served a little earlier. The one area that could be improved is the amenities, which are almost non-existent. There was no soap, no shampoo, and very little else provided in the room. Nevertheless, the overall experience was very positive and pleasant. The location...

「Prachtig huis op een super locatie. Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw die er alles aan deed om het je naar de zin te maken. Fijne kamer met alle voorzieningen, heerlijk ontbijt.」

「This is a chateau to remember. From the lengthy drive through woods up to the chateau, it sets your expectations high and then proceeds to exceed them. This is a passion for Geoffrey and all the staff and it shows! Tremendous key to a Normandy vacation!」

「The property is well kept and the staff very friendly and supportive. The only issue was the lack of a working WiFi network」
