But my favorite parts of Sedona are the little known secret places, that you can explore and experience without the crowds. This gem is one of those secret locations. Sedona almost never gets snow, and when it does snow, it rarely sticks. So when a giant snow storm shut down the whole city last winter, we were dying to go out and get some epic snow pictures! Locals refer to this spot as the Birthing Cave. It is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy parts of the city. It is a fairly easy hike to get here, but getting up into the cave is a whole other story! It requires a lot of scrambling, and some serious guts! Drain in tub would not latch down so my disabled son could not take a bath. Shower instead and it was difficult. At 5:25 am, you could a leaf blower outside, could have been a different property I’m sure, but still. That is unacceptable.

Perfect location for our first visit to Sedona. Enjoyed walking to the shops and restaurants. No plastic cups included for beverages, and no doorway between sleeping and bathroom sink area (just a partial wall). Otherwise would highly recommend.

Adjace to intersection of highways 89 and 179. Easy walking distance to Tlaquepaque shops and restaurants as well as everything on Uptown. Beautiful red rock views from the parking lot. Surprisingly quiet location given the congested Sedona traffic.
