「Really lovely little hotel (12 rooms?). Beautifully and tastefully decorated. Location very convenient for Torquay but far enough away from the noise. Beautiful 19th century property. Hosts very friendly, everyone greeted at breakfast by their names - how do they remember everyone's name??! Lovely breakfast all made to order - good variety. Would definitely stay again if in Torquay. We booked through expedia but worth looking at booking direct.」

「We had stayed here before and were disappointed earlier this year, when we were informed that the hotel was permanently closed. We were therefore delighted when we received an email from Richardson Hotels, offering accommodation there again. We booked a week in early July and weren't disappointed. Yes, the fabric of the hotel needs some attention but our room was clean and comfortable and benefitted from a bay window with a sea view. The staff were friendly, accommodating and very hard-working...
