"I almost never write reviews, so it takes a really good or really bad experience for me to take the time. Let's start with the good - the bed was comfortable and the lights/plumbing worked. Now for the rest... The lobby smelled like bleach as did the water coming out of the sink in the room. The room was not the cleanest but not horrifically dirty. The fridge was loud but not intolerable. The heater was louder and intolerable to keep on for more than a few minutes at a time. This place is NOISY - as in do not stay here if you want to sleep before about 2am. The walls are thin so you can hear everyone talking/yelling/etc from the hallway and neighboring rooms word for word and it sounds like they are in the room with you. The ice machine is also loud and used periodically throughout the night. Also, this is not directly the fault of the hotel but my fellow travelers were extremely rude during my stay - numerous parties entering in the middle of the night and yelling/loud talking as if they did not realize they were in a hotel where others may be sleeping. In summary, I'd stay here again if there was nowhere else to go, but I wouldn't recommend it."
"The staff here was friendly and accommodating, the breakfast far superior from average. Jose made to order excellent omelets. The view we had was worth the stay. My only disappointment, the gym was not as advertised. The only thing that was functional was a lonely treadmill. There were no weights, as the machine was roped off and broken. "
"Everything was very nicely setup. We had problem with drainage in our sink and shower, but our host allowed us to move down a room.
The rooms are beautifully decorated and the lake is glorious at all times of the day."
"It was pretty dated, I feel some paint and different paintings would be an easy fix. Maybe some different dresser selection. There were also ants around the hot tub in the room. I wanted to mention it at check out but no one was available. I think for the price I expected a little bit better. Over all it was clean and the hot tub was rather fun."
"Owners are very welcoming and energetic. They continue to renovate this property to maintain the historical era of the motel. It is clean and functional. "
