We stayed one evening while we were down in Sarasota for a Spring Training game. Due to the beach and ballgame season, prices at all hotels were up. So to find one at $200 per night was the cheapest that looked decent from photos. Upon arrival, the evening clerk (Darryl), greeted us and was not particularly friendly. Upon going through the registration process, he took our IDs. Instead of verifying that they matched the Reservation, he took them and began to take scans of them. Do not stay at this property. Desk clerk was very rude and they don't answer the phone after you book online. I tried calling numberous times to advise our late arrival l, and they two phone numbers online just rang and rang. Finally got to this property and the desk clerk wasn't too happy since I'm pretty sure we woke him up.at 10pm. I tried to cancel our reservation for the 2nd night that we had booked but Darnell the desk clerk refused to cancel. Stay clear of this property. The room rate was $320 a night and I would rather sleep in my car than stay at this property.

No coffee maker is provided. We were told to go to Starbucks. Gross. They do not have handicap rails in the bathrooms. I ran out of toilet paper & wanted fresh towels. I was on crutches & they handed me the towels & toilet paper to try to carry back to my room on the second floor. There was a barking dog right above our room. We complained numerous times & the dog still continued to bark. We asked to be moved & they said we could but we had to wait for housekeeping. When we returned later that day, we learned they close the counter/office every evening till morning. I have never rented a hotel that has zero staff working around the clock. We were unable to switch room because we had already purchased tickets for things during the day. I was not about to cancel my plans because of this barking dog. Bring a coffee maker & ear plugs if you dare to stay here.

The room had a musty smell. A few walls appeared dirty. The cleanliness was lacking in the bathroom and unfortunately I found some loose hair particles in the bathroom too. The gentleman that checked me in was extremely nice, even though I arrived at 1:20am due to flight delays. The manager did compensate me a refund with quick help of rep from Expedia.

No amenities at all, the water in shower was like warm, the shower spout fell off and couldn’t be replaced and the water would not turn off, not even a plastic cup was offered in the room nor coffee maker. Those were offered for a fee. No coffee in the lobby either.

I reported this building to APD and City Building Inspectors & code enforcement. None of the THREE incredibly unnecessary, heavy entry doors are handicapped accessible leaving check in desk impossible for someone to enter independently in a wheelchair or walker to reach front desk. They should be electric or have push button options. Same with the doors entrance into rooms. NOT UP TO CODE FOR FIRE SAFETY

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay and the service I received. At check-in, I waited about 20 minutes before receiving my room key. I was assigned room 143, but when I entered, the room had not been cleaned and was still left from the previous guest. I returned to the front desk and waited another 20 minutes to speak with customer service. I was then moved to room 440. After taking a shower, I discovered there were no towels in the room. I had to use my own shampoo. I tried calling customer service multiple times, but no one answered. This experience was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and it caused significant inconvenience. I would appreciate this matter being reviewed and a response provided.
