"Unfortunately, our room had a moldy smell that did not seem to go away. The staff did everything they could, but there is clearly a sewer and/or ventilation problem in the room. I strongly recommend that someone look at it. An employee more permanent fix. We slept with the windows open one night and I don’t know that every guest would be willing to do that. Sooner or later someone may get sick sleeping there. That all being said the view was amazing."

"We were surprised that this is rated as a five-star property. While the location is fantastic -right on the beach and in a quieter part of Sesimbra (at least during the carnival when we visited) -the maintenance left a lot to be desired. The outdoor shower by the pool was out of service, with the wall around it partially demolished but no sign of work being carried out. The gym also had maintenance issues: one of the two treadmills was out of order, and the exercise bike was missing a pedal....
