The town is not as great, it wasn’t a town at the top of my list to explore while in the area, but visiting El Picnic for a night was an unforgettable experience and definitely a highlight of our visit to the lake overall. "Stayed at this property for 3 nights. The staff was super nice and informative. Property has a beautiful view of rostro maya and the overall lake. Kayaks are easy and accessible to use at all times. Hotel is only a short walk along the shoreline to the main st of San Juan. Breakfast was always delicious and filling. Would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Guatemala. "

"We have a great time views staff and breakfast were excellent however mattress could use an upgrade, doors should have a shade for privacy also for the sunlight, a better mirror the one in our bathroom you can barely see yourself there’s a lot of stairs so keep that in mind "
