「The owner, Jordi, and his staff went out of their way to help me. He gave me a ride from the train station to his nearby restaurant, where I had a fantastic dinner. Then he dropped me off at the hotel. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. The front desk attendant was kind enough to drive me to the bus stop for my journey to Barcelona. I was most grateful to be spared a long walk. Muchisimas gracias a todos!」

「This property is located in the middle of a local micro-vineyard. The place is modernized but kept old rustic decorations that made me feel warm and cozy. Staffs are super nice and the breakfast buffet was very good. We ate a formal dinner and the environment was so romantic. I was somewhat surprised that my room did not have a refrigerator.」

「Lovely rooms, lovely bar, lounge areas and pool. The hotel is well presented. The only issue was that the children are not allowed in the indoor pool at any time of the day or night, and strangely, there was no butter to go on the bread at breakfast, even when we asked!」

「Ideal for a relaxing break, with a good choice of restaurants (including one Michelin star) and the option to visit a medieval Monastery just 3min walk away as well as a number of trekking options by the Llobregat river. As a curiosity, this complex also hosts the Alicia foundation, led by Ferran Adria (El Bulli) dedicated to tech innovation in cuisine and especially focussed at healthy eating during cancer treatment.」

「Staying at hotel America was like staying in a Soviet era tower block in Moscow in the 1970s. My room was very cold and I had to request heating to be put on. Even with the extra (old and grubby) blanket I was cold all night. The room has probably not been updated since the building was constructed so the bright blue bathroom suite with missing plugs was like something from the 1970s. 「We were here on a whim. Really you are coming to this town to try amazing chocolate and taste excellent Cava. We also got to be part of a festival that it seems the entire town turns out for (check it out every 7-8 September (really 6-9th). You are not going to be at the hotel much.
