My husband and I did a weekend trip to Put-in-Bay and stayed here, the staff and check-in were great. The property itself is nice, great location. Walkable to all of the shops and restaurants. The pool area is nice and well maintained. There was some construction going on but it did not hinder the pool area too much. The room had everything we needed, beds comfortable. The A/C unit did an OK job keeping us cool. It did get a bit warm at night but other than that, our stay was great.

Clean rooms, staff was extremely inviting and helpful. Couple friendly, family friendly I felt safe and accommodated. We stayed 4 days the 2nd night our tv didn't work the 3rd night there, which ended being ok. But our air in our room kept cutting off during the night. Other than that I was a great place to stay. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time on the island. We would’ve liked to know that the pools weren’t filled with water and the jacuzzi was not hot. Also the property was under construction and we weren’t made aware. We also were locked out of the property the first night we arrived and had to call the night person who showed up promptly but it was early in the night 9pm. Rooms were clean and the rest of the stay was nice.

The hotel was clean and I liked the idea of no carpet. However, there were things that for the price need to be addressed. 1-no Kleenex in the room 2-cheap residential blinds. As soon as the sun was up the room was incredibly bright. 3-no coffee pot in the room 4-ice maker was broken 5-shower is incredibly small 6-towels were cheap and dingey 7-one bar of soap - a minimum of two are needed (sink and shower)

Or be given a balcony room with a beautiful view of an empty pool, dirt, pipes as they refurbish the pool area. (Why did they not give rooms away from that when the hotel was NOT full). Older furniture. Then I guess this is for you.

Issues began with check-in where a $20/day parking fee and a $200 security deposit were added. The springs on one side of the bed creaked loudly. The television in the room never worked, even after an employee was sent to assist. Construction on the site made it difficult to park anywhere close to the room and the noise greeted us each morning at 8 am. At checkout, the staff refused to print out a receipt, insisting that it would be emailed to me but I have yet to receive it, nor has the security deposit been refunded.

We stayed at Islander Inn for a bachelorette trip specifically because of the advertised pool and swim-up bar amenities. Before arriving, I called the day before check-in because it was early in the season and temperatures were only around 70 degrees. I was told the pool would not be open due to the weather. However, when we arrived, it became clear that the issue was not weather at all — the entire pool and swim-up bar area was under heavy construction and essentially torn apart. We paid full price for a hotel that heavily advertises these amenities, yet they were completely unavailable during our stay. This should have been clearly disclosed before booking or at minimum before arrival. To make matters more frustrating, other nearby hotels had their pools open, including the hotel directly next to us, so the explanation we were given felt misleading. The rooms themselves were clean, and the hotel overall was decent aside from this issue. However, we were also charged overnight parking fees, which felt excessive considering visitors already have to pay to park virtually everywhere on the island. Overall, the lack of transparency about the construction and unavailable amenities was very disappointing, especially for a trip planned around the pool atmosphere.
