My family and I booked a high-floor room, which turned out to be on the top floor—23rd. The moment we stepped off the elevator, we were hit with unbearable heat. We went to our room, hoping it would be better, but it was just as bad. I called the front desk, and they said they’d send maintenance.
After maintenance checked it out, we were told to “wait an hour” to see if it improved. An hour? After driving four hours to get here, the last thing we wanted was to sit in a sweltering room. The manager dismissed it, blaming the issue on being on a high floor and said, "Well it is a high floor." Implying... that’s just how it is. If you can’t cool the rooms, don’t rent them. TORTA!
Thirty minutes later, I’d had enough. This was supposed to be a vacation for my family—not a miserable, overheated nightmare. When I spoke to the manager again, she repeatedly talked over me and wouldn’t let me finish a sentence. Only after pressing the issue did she reluctantly and silently hand me a key to a different room.
The 7th-floor room was fine, but by then, the damage was done. Between the unbearable heat, the lack of accountability, and the dismissive attitude from management, this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We will never stay here again, and I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.
