Galway Bay Hotel

"Good location in Galway to experience the sea views and bay. The hotel itself is a little tired, but reasonably clean. The staff in the restaurants and lounge are exceptional! This is where the hotel shines, as well as having lovely views across the bay. Also front desk staff was lovely and had a small fridge brought to our room when we enquired about refrigerators. We had breakfast included and it was very satisfying with typical full Irish breakfast choices, plus cereal, toast, yoghurt and fruit. About a 30 minute walk to old town Galway."

"A nice modern hotel on the outskirts of town. Huge room well equipped but let down by housekeeping who failed to clean a hair from the shower floor and wall before we arrived. I decided to have a bath instead but there was no plug! Staff were helpful and polite. Breakfast was good."

"Room was nice and tidy. Had an issue with the shower head. It kept moving and spraying all over. Soaked the floor. There were some signs of mold in the grout, but overall good for one night. Breakfast was quite good with lots of choices."

The G Hotel and Spa

"We had a great stay at the G. The hotel is just outside of the city center, close enough to walk, easy enough to grab a car and be there in a few minutes. There is a small shopping center directly behind the hotel if you need anything. The staff is incredibly helpful with anything you need or just to have a chat. The lounge and restaurant are beautifully appointed with nice views of lake. The food is some of the best food we ate in London and Ireland. The rooms are spacious and clean and have great space to hang your clothes and put everything away so you feel at home. We would highly recommend staying at the G while in Galway!"

"Lovely staff, well-maintained hotel, and spacious, beautifully designed rooms. The brick interior walls make the bedrooms exceptionally quiet. Excellent parking facilities plus a bus stop right across the road with a quick 15-minute ride straight into Galway."
