Thank you for your feedback about your stay at The Kimball at Temple Square. We apologize you felt a level of dissatisfaction the accommodations. Our historic building is definitely unique and for some this is part of the charm. There is not a way to entirely avoid stairs so it does pose ADA challenges and these are listed at the time of booking. We are sorry to learn your room was not properly locked upon your arrival and we will have maintenance look at the lock as this has not been reported to us before. There are two ways to lock the door--with the doorknob and with the deadbolt. So there is no reason you should have felt stuck in your room. Front Desk is available to assist during the day in person and through text. It is unfortunate we didn't hear from you about your concerns. We also have an afterhours check-in service for assistance for guests checking in when the desk is closed and for any other general concerns. This is available 24/7.
