When the pub shuts down, very loud with patrons leaving or going into their rooms.
The room was fine, as expected, met our needs for a lace to lay our heads and sleep. Was clean and comfortable and nice view off the back balcony! The facility needs some updating and the amenities were not available. The pub/onsite restaurant seems very popular, but we didn’t go so couldn’t comment on it.
This is a very old property, right on the highway. Very noisy truck traffic and motorcycles - most of the night.
The toilet did not flush properly (the float was set too low, and I had to hold it down to get enough water in the tank to work).
The rear balcony was not useable as it hasn't been cleaned for months or probably years. The view was an unkempt area with an assortment of old equipment and junk mostly.
The parking lot in the front is mostly dirt and gravel and broken down old asphalt. The carpet on the stairs is worn through and filthy.
Inside, it was clean enough except the comforter which was badly stained. The supplied unpackaged cardboard coffee cups looked very dirty - not usable.
This property would only be usable when no other is available.
I do not know how Expedia rates their properties, but this is the worst I have ever seen at any number of stars, certainly not 3 stars as advertised. Should be worth only 1 star, or even less - or, honestly, not the website at all.
The front desk person was friendly. Still the overall sense is very grubby.
Would not recommend unless you are desperate.
Office was locked. They told me to go to the pub to check in. They had no idea. Sent me back and they gave me a room and had to make sure it was clean first. Toilets didnt flush. No handle on bathroom door. Dirty rooms , old coffee in the pot. No staff anywhere to be found
The room was dark and dirty. It was clear the bathroom fan cover had not been cleaned ever! It seemed an electrical hazard that the only plug in in the bathroom was in the light fixture beside the light bulb. The kitchen had a light fixture that looked like it hadn't been operation in at least 5 years. Next time I will either stop in Salmon Arm or keep going to Chase.
Liked the deck and the cleaning staff was friendly. The condition of the place was ghastly and I was irritated that the desk clerk decided to take another customer out of order even when that customer explained that I had been first.
It was nice and comfortable, just a little dated. The restaurant next door serves a variety of foods including Indian. Quite delicious. Also within walking distance were some other restaurants as well as a grocery store. We plan to stay there again on our way back to the west coast.
No one was there to meet us. Had to wait outside then call them to the office. Lick on door didn’t work. Put a chair against the door all night. No plug in washroom. Smell terrible. But the bed was comfy and clean. Outside was not taken care of. Would not stay there again. We had book for three nights, tried to cancel one and they said no . So we just left. Not impress. Would not recommend this place at all.
When we opened the door to our room it smelled bad, there was not any chairs in the room, nothing to put your close on. Myself and my two 5 & 6 year old grand kids went to the attached pub/restaurant for dinner & the atmosphere was terrible. The food was the same worst berger I have eaten in 72 years.
The room was generally clean, but there were empty bottles beside the bed and garbage in nooks and crannies. King bed was poor, sagged in the middle so kept sliding down. Poor lighting and TV did not work. Spent days with family so only there to sleep, so we survived. If there more would have gone elsewhere.
Registration was a hassle as it was hard to find someone to check us in.
The next problem was that the heater in my room didn't work. Nor did the heater in the other room work very well.
The staff then tried three times to get some heat out of the registers. The result was no heat for my room and very little heat in the other room. We finally got space heaters but they didn't work very well. A cold night for each of us. I wore a wool shirt to go to bed.
I tried to get a partial refund in the morning. Of course no one was around to talk to!

Liked: Cleanliness
It was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here for a holiday but for a short work stopover it was ok. Good location.
It had a huge back yard and a deck at the attached restaurant. In the distance are mountains and a big lake. So relaxing to sit out on the deck and have great food, all kinds including Indian, and a cocktail. Nice Indian family owns both.
