"The check-in email got blocked as Spam and I emailed, texted and called the property several times seeking information. Nobody ever responded. We sat in our car in the sun in the parking lot for several hours waiting for check-in help. Finally figured it out by ourselves after finding the email in spam folder. The place sleeps 5, but the couch only seats 2 comfortably. They boast of cereal and stuff available. No, there isn’t. No smart TV, only basic cable which seemed to have OLD sitcoms or cartoons for children. No place to plug a hair dryer in anywhere near a mirror. I stood facing a wall in the bedroom and had to hope I was drying it correctly. The whole place had an odd smell, like dirty water. They had a strong deodoriser plugged into the wall, but when I unplugged it to use the outlet, the apartment was soon overtaken with the bad smell."

"The Homestay Room was clean and modern. It is close to a petrol station convience store. A pub and take away is in walking distance. Ciara checked me in and was accomodating. I had difficulty using the house key and shower controls due to my infamiliarity. All said I enjoyed my stay in Ballyboughal. "
