Pineapple Beach Club Antigua - Adults Only – All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"We just got back from a week at PBC and it was amazing! We were in a beachfront room and it was literally steps from the beautiful beach. There were plenty of chairs available each day and never felt crowded at all. The food was all delicious, we were stuffed after every meal. The drinks were also good and we never had to wait for one. The resort and room was well-maintained and clean. We were really impressed and will be back!"
"Definitely a place to go to for 1 on 1 time. The downside was you had to carry luggage to room and the times for food. We had the dinner by the pool but my gf got sick from the steak. Food was very mid but breakfast was the best. Best massage hands down! There are no snacks or room service. Bar closes at 10 so you have to carry everything on a tray back to your room."
"This is our third year staying at the Buccaneer Beach Club. We love everything about it, including the location, cleanliness and service. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend it!"
Royalton CHIC Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort – Adults Only
8/10 Good
"Beautiful, clean & modern property with nice rooms, comfy beds, beautiful beaches, nice pools and amenities. My only complaint is that there were constant shortages of food and alcohol, in all bars and all restaurants on the property (example mojito ingredients were rarely available and desserts/mains not available on menus at speciality restaurants. I have addressed this issue with guest services for hopes of improvement."
"We had a wonderful time at Cocobay Resort. This place is perfect if you just want to relax. It looks like a small tropical paradise. It is well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. Our cottage had an amazing ocean view, and the plunge pool was a nice addition. There are several beaches in the area including the one that the resort is on. All in the walking distance. We really liked the Ffryes beach with its white sand and turquoise water. The only downside was the unreliable Wi-Fi. We kept losing connection, but it is an island, so it is something to be expected. Other than that we don’t have any complaints.
Overall, we enjoyed it a lot more than the cruises. We will definitely go back."
The Verandah Antigua - All Inclusive - Adults Only
8/10 Good
"The facilities were in very good condition, with the exception of some of the accessories for using the game facilities as the pool cues were not in good shape and the table was a bit off balance. The shuffle board pucks were broken when we arrived but were replaced later in the week.
Staff was nice for the most part a few of them were a little bit less friendly. Some went above and beyond while a few seemed like the simpliest request was too much for them to do. An example when I asked for a drink that was on the menu, the bartender said she would have to make the lemonade for the drink, and I said OK make it. She did not want to make it and asked if I would drink something else. But most were very accommodating.
I have been to other islands and different resorts and the biggest difference I noticed was at other resorts I have been to the staff was all over the place waiting on the customers and asking if you needed anything. There were times it was difficult to find a member of the staff. Occasionally, there was no one at the bar or at the restaurant to take your order."
"This property is extremely dated had terribly maintained. The customer service was shocking with much of the staff surprisingly hostile to guests and just not interested. The attitudes were simply unacceptable for any industry never mind the hospitality industry. The staff need better support and training in hospitality. The location of this ancient hotel with its beach accessible was one of only two positives (the beach is a public beach hence accessible to all called jolly beach - so can be accessed even if not guests). The other positive was the long bar in which Jay and Patrick provided exceptional service. Even they however could not make up for the rest. The gym was dated with old equipment including two non-functional treadmills. In fact dangerous as the one that works suddenly stops causing incidents as you’d crash into the control panel if jogging. Reported it but staff didn’t care and made dismissive comments. The gym has no water nor towels. Wi-Fi was patchy in the resort (none in the gym). Yet they are happy to charge resort fees for the provision of services that don’t work. Rooms are small and full of issues with something or another not working. Very noisy staff shouting and carrying on as if guests don’t matter - this affected rest periods too. Sadly can’t recommend this report for anyone trying to enjoy Antigua."
