Cute property. Weird that there was insulation on one of the nightstands and a soda bottle and repair equipment in the bathroom though. Towels are also kinda small.

The place is undergoing some renovation and is likely going to change hands soon. It's an older facility ('50s would be my guess), but the couple in charge of the place were doing a nice job upgrading it and repairing what needed to be repaired. The room was clean (except for some diatomaceous earth that had been tracked in earlier in the day, we got there after midnight) and comfortable and quiet. Totally acceptable value lodging.

Our stay was off right from the check in. Staff had children in office (not a problem for us) that, aside from the bickering, asked why someone (us) was staying 2 nights. Interesting question imo. We got our key and opened the door to room 10. My husband swore. The room was something you'd rent by the hour. Really dated, dark, smelly and as many reviewers have pointed out, the walls hear everything. We spent 5 minutes deciding what we were looking at and figuring out what to do (and listening to the live-in family through the walls). All of these things are... just things... but how one earth could there be 10 out of 10 ratings on this place. No one else was staying there, and it was on a Friday! The parking lot and property looked forgotten. Staff was friendly enough but misled us to think we would get a refund. We checked out immediately regardless of the refund outcome because it IS THAT BAD. -Oct 16 2026- We are not needy people. But we have standards. Expedia, your positive reviews no longer hold any weight for me. Thanks Hidelberg for taking our money and offering nothing for it. Your policy on refunds makes sense. Your lack of interest in why someone would feel the way we do... that's a whole other thing. Money money money baby. Disgusting.

You know you're not staying at the best hotel in the world at this price point, but it was serviceable for a night's stay. Bed was clean and comfy enough, everything worked (except I couldn't figure out the TV). Bathroom was outdated and a little grimy, but no real cause for concern. I'd recommend staying here if you're on a budget and not picky.

Great place for the price. Fine for a clean room for a single overnight, but not for an extended stay. The bathroom is dated and small, but clean and the tiles are in great shape.
