"There was a lightening storm and the power had gone out for several hours but in the early hours of it my daughter was having a panic attack in the lobby because of the storm and the woman at the front desk helped her calm right down. She was so sincere."

"This is the second time I've stayed here in two weeks, and this is my second review. Not much has changed. I think for $115, this is a great place, but that was through Expedia. I wouldn't pay the full rack rate. It's a great throwback to the old two story motels where every door opens to the outside. I may not have had someone above my first floor room last time but this time I definitely did and the footsteps and other noise did keep me from sleeping to some degree. Maybe the person was just a heavy walker, but it does appear that the ceiling/floor above me was a bit thin. Again, for $115 in Norwalk, I found that acceptable and didn't complain to the manager. The only strange thing that happened the second time I stayed was that there seemed to be no hot water from the bathroom sink. I pushed the faucet to the left and the water was cold after running for 5 minutes. I reported it, then turned on the bath water. That got hot. Then I went back and pushed the faucet all the way to the right and the water eventually got hot. So I guess the feeds are backwards. Even the little blue and red indicator on the faucet showed blue right and red left yet it ended up that cold was left and hot was right. Small issue."

"The room was absolutely amazing, far more spacious than we expected and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need during our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond by providing excellent local recommendations for restaurants, attractions, and things to do in the area, which made our trip even more enjoyable. We truly felt well taken care of and would gladly stay here again!"

"So we travel quite a bit for pleasure. On this trip I took my son to NYC for a couple days. The hotel there...was little to be desired, old, poor front desk service, and godly expensive. However the second half of our trip was exploring Stamford Greenwich when i used to live there 25 years ago. Checking into the Marriott Residence Inn was such a refreshing feeling! The gorgeous clean lobby with beautiful interior design and art felt like checking into a ultra luxury hotel. The front desk staff allowed us to check in at noon which was brilliant. Our suite was so well appointed. full kitchen, (not that we used it but really nice), living area with sectional couch, desk, pull out circular table and 2 comfy queen beds. Large Flat screen TV welcoming us by name on the screen and the spacious well lit, well appointed bathroom with a shower with awesome water pressure made it feel very "spa like" Valet parking was a cinch, and cheap to store your car over night, and every staff member was so kind. Ok so the breakfast (which I rarely do) was also really really fresh and healthy. fresh fruit, grains, egg sandwiches, bacon, scrambled eggs and a fresh waffle station with coolers full of fresh juices, and anything you wanted. Staff for breakfast was kind and attentive. If you are looking for a 4 star experience on a 2 star budget. This is the spot. I think our 2 nights were less than $500?! I will be sure to be back!
