「Stayed at Darwin House and the experience was pretty poor. The room I originally booked was already being used by another guest, with her belongings everywhere, so I was moved to Room 1. The phone number provided for help wasn't even in service at the time. The property itself is filthy - the room was just about liveable for one night, but I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the sheets. 「First of all, there was no staff or anyone to welcome you. We reserved a room with a private bath, and when we arrived we had been assigned a different room with no private bathroom. The shared bathroom available was filthy and the linoleum was coming off the floor. The bedroom was dirty as well and the beds were like cots, horrible mattresses. We tried to reach property owner with no avail. They never responded to any of our inquiries. Within 15 mins, we booked a room at local hotel and left...

「Very noisy until early hours of the morning arguing within the building which was intimidating and frightening. No cups or cutlery in room 1 small hand towel to shower with signage outside very confusing booked for 2 nights only stayed one found other accommodation elsewhere most certainly would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY」

Only 1 point to make, room was very hot so we should have asked for a fan (but it was 34 degrees outside!), so not even sure a fan would help!. Overall, would definitely return if we needed a night in Southampton again.」

「I was the worst place I've been to. I could not get into the room. I took over an hour to before someone made contact but I still couldn't get into the room. The bathrooms were dirty and chairs were broken and the were empty bottles in the corridors. I would not recommend anyone stay here.」
