Excellent room in the border of the quiet side of Trastevere. If arriving by car, the paid parking spots along the Lungotevere will open up at night.

Highly recommended

Excellent hotel right in the heart of the historic district of Rome. There are only four rooms in this establishment, contained in an area of a centuries old building. The owner was there to greet us and give us a tour of the facility. She also provided advice for visiting the surrounding area. The room itself was clean and updated. You are within walking distance to all tourist attractions. Highly recommend recommended.

Fantastic location, we walked everywhere from there. Its in the quiet end of Trastevere, which felt more local, but still endless choice of restaurants and bars just a few minutes walk away. The room was large and really comfortable with a lovely treelined view across to the river. Its on a busy road but the sound proofing was excellent. Laura gave us some fantastic suggestions for restaurants and other places and markets we might like, and made some reservations for us. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Rome!

For the price point, this property was exceptional. Located in a fantastic part of the city (the Trastevere), it was also easy walking distance to many parts of the city and to the major sights. Although it’s located on a main road, the dual-paned windows delightfully masked the sound of the traffic just outside the window. The bed was very comfortable and linens high-quality. Loved the waterfall shower. Also really appreciated the access to the small but well-appointed lounge and kitchen area. The espresso, as well as the fresh cakes and treats, were wonderful.

It was a quiet guest house, even though lungotevere is a Main Street. It was perfect for short stay, bed & room comfortable size and was easy walking to colosseum and really anywhere. Trastevere is at your doorstep. Best way of contact is via Expedia or calling the contact # they provide, not what’s ap. Helpful in setting up taxi to airport and getting us checked as soon as we got there, we did notify them of our estimated arrival via train and someone was waiting for us for smooth check in. We had a 20€ food & beverage -only used a portion of it. No issue getting a good nights rest.

Terrible!! mis advertisement!

We expected a room with river view as advertised instead room is on street level with GAS STATION view on one side and cars parked on the other, people walk on sidewalk by your window…Heard traffic and saw headlights all night. A sliver of soap size not even replaced the next day. Broken toilet seat!! The « free « snacks were just packaged goods not replenished the next day. Asked for a bottle of Prosecco the second night and instead a bottle of WARM white wine was put in room. No red wine offerings as advertised. Beware of hours for check out. Order your ride ahead of time for airport. No taxis available when we were ready to leave and had to order a Uber black for 99 euros. The personal touch people refer to was not offered to us! There was no one to talk to after check in at 2 pm simply to pay and be shown the room with the « views ». Only 4 rooms in all. All on street. We had corner view with side window to gas station as a bonus!

I’ve stayed in several places and several areas in Rome and this one is very convenient and pleasant. Lovely updated spacious room I stayed in. Busy street in front but the rooms are sound proof enough from traffic. It is a 4 bedroom guest house not a hotel but there is super helpful staff at the front desk during the day for all the help you could need and more including plenty of advice on sites and food. They provided an early check in for me as it was available and watched my bags for me after checkout.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Palazzo Baj Guesthouse in the heart of Trastevere! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. First of all, the cleanliness of the entire guesthouse is impeccable—spotless rooms and common areas that made me feel truly comfortable and at home. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, with high ceilings, elegant decor, and plenty of natural light, which is rare to find in such a central Roman location. A delightful bonus was the complimentary cake and coffee, available throughout the day—perfect for a quick recharge after exploring the city or as a gentle start to the morning. What really made the stay special was Laura, the host. She’s incredibly warm, friendly, and genuinely cares about making your stay perfect. From restaurant recommendations to helping with directions or bookings, Laura goes above and beyond—her local tips were absolute gold! The location couldn’t be better. You’re less than a 5-minute walk from some of the highest-rated restaurants in Rome, right in the heart of Trastevere. Palazzo Baj

It was a very convenient location for us, walking to the Circo Massimo and Colosseum. Room was easy to find with Laura's excellent communication and instructions. Comfortable room, small snake area had coffee's, teas and snacks available.

This place was super cute and I would definitely stay here again! Its located in right over the river which we ended up loving. Its a bit further away from the tourist-y stuff in the best way possible. Still walkable to the Colosseum and the Vatican (30-40 minutes) but tucked away enough that we felt like we were getting a more authentic experience. The host was super nice and helpful with recommendations and assistance in getting rides.
