This is a great option for anyone looking for an efficient location near the Termini train station. Staff was really friendly and accommodating, holding our luggage before check-in and after checking out so we could continue exploring the city. Communication was always on point and room was all we needed to crash for the night. Although the area surrounding the Guest House is not the prettiest, Rome is a very safe city and we never felt unsafe walking near the property late a night. There are two fantastic pastry shops within walking distance from the Guest House, which were absolutely amazing! I recommend and would stay at this property again.

Perfect condition room. Good air conditioning try the slices of pizzas next to it in a corner grear pizzas and coffee. Excellent service good option to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Magic Door Rome! The area was a bit intimidating when we first arrived. The rental company is within a building of more apartments/homes. The outside is heavily graffitied and there were some questionable people in the area when we arrived around 12 pm—but this is not something the rental company can control/change. The main door is a bit difficult to find without having looked up pictures, but we communicated our arrival time and someone was outside to help us in. There are few steps of stairs that are unavoidable and the elevator/entrance are a bit run down, but the room itself was very clean, modern, and beautiful. The staff kindly kept our bags since we arrived early and were very helpful overall. The area became lively in the evening and there was a fantastic pizza place on the corner adjacent to the entrance. It surprisingly felt safer to walk in the evening/night and ended up being a great stay. We would book it again!

Le seul reproche expédia avait pas donnée le tel. de la dame, difficile à trouver je cherchait un hôtel et c'était des chambre dans un style RB&B caché derrière une grosse porte mais l'adresse bien indiqué. Quand rejoint au tél finalement dame très gentille nous a accueillit aider a monté les valise avec un ascenseur. appartement propre seul défaut l'eau chaude est longue a venir, un petit frigo serait apprécier . Satisfait je recommande c'est dans le cartier chinois.

Great spot. 15-20 min walk to the colosseum. 10-15 min from the main train station. Great park right across the street. Would stay here again

Lily who checked us in was great. Friendly and helpful with directions. Property is close to a Metro stop and 15 walk from Termini. Room was big and clean. Building does have an elevator but elevator isn’t available for Magic Door guests. There were a few homeless ppl on the same street but Otherwise was a convenient location.

This property is in a great location away from the business of all the tourist attractions but yet close enough to travel to. Lily and her family were great hosts. Lily was so friendly and helpful. A great family run hotel! Will definitely recomend to other travelers. Thanks again for a great stay. Hope to see you again soon!

Está bien ubicada .. caminando a 10 mins del coliseo. El único detalle es que debes ser observador para ver la puerta donde está la entrada a los cuartos , (No es un Hotel). Ósea si no ves los timbres del edificio no vas a saber cuál es. Está un poco escondido. La habitación es cómoda. Ideal para salir todo el día y solo llegar a dormir .

At find i was scared to book this property, however i when ahead because of the mixed reviews. I can say today that o had a amazingly great stay. It was a total surprise how clean the room was and the environment. Note, you have a shared kitchenette which included kettle, tea and coffee. The walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbors at times. No elevator so you will have to carry your luggage up some stairs.

We made a reservation for two nights. Upon our arrival, we were unable to access the building due to a lack of communication regarding entry procedures, and there was no reception available after 8 PM. I had to request assistance from neighboring stalls to call for help, as I was coming from Canada and my eSIM only provided internet access. I am grateful to the staff of the nearby restaurant who kindly offered to contact the guesthouse staff on our behalf. When the staff member finally arrived, she informed us that the elevator was out of service, and we would need to carry our four large pieces of luggage up to the fifth floor. I had previously communicated the necessity of an elevator due to our large luggage, but she eventually explained that her mother had turned off the elevator because it was making noise. She then decided to turn it back on and assisted us with our luggage while we ascended the stairs in the sweltering 40-degree heat of Italy that day. The most disappointing aspect was that we were placed in a room where the air conditioning was not functioning, and we were not informed of this issue. There was a fan in the room, but it did not provide any relief. Consequently, we were unable to sleep at all that night. The following morning, we visited the reception office to lodge a complaint about the air conditioning, and the owner merely stated, "the elevator and air conditioning will be fixed today," without offering any apology. Very disappointing! Beware!

We had a great stay. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was clean and comfortable. The espresso machine that was available 24hours was amazing. Within a quick walk of the coliseum, and the metro station down the block puts all other tourist destinations within 30minutes. We were also able to store our luggage after checkout because we had an evening flight. They were kind and helpful, always asking if we had everything we needed. Definitely would stay again.

The place itself was wonderful to stay at. Lily was a very gracious host and we would definitely come back. A good amount of sites and restaurants are within walking distance. Just know that even though there is an elevator, you still have to go down a few stairs to get into the actual rooms. The area around the rooms is not perfectly scenic, but it's Rome and beautiful all the same!
