The property is very close to FCO airport. The rooms are very clean with comfortable bedding. The area is quiet and the neighborhood easily accessible by foot with a good variety of food options. This is a great option to the hustle of Rome. The owner is extremely friendly and met us at the front to assist check in. He directed us to the proper street parking and helped get our luggage to the room. This is a family owned B&B and the hospitality is outstanding. During our one night there we walked across the pedestrian bridge, enjoyed a great seafood meal at Cielo and walked along the beach, followed by a restful stay at La Lira. We will definitely return to La Lira.

Our room was simple and sterile. It served the purpose of a stay over before our flight the next day. Taking a taxi from and to the airport added expense that eliminated any savings. I’d probably just stay at a hotel right by the airport next time. The manager recommended a very nice restaurant two blocks across the street Cielo. We enjoyed that.

What a fantastic little oasis in the midst of FCO country! So glad we found this place and the €6.5 Per person comfy shuttle to the airport saved us quite a bit of money. Spotlessly clean in an area surrounded by water and great seafood. We will definitely be back!

La Lira was a clean, safe room for one night. Room was sparten but more than adequate. Looks like it was recently updated. The tiny balcony does not look out over anything but the backs of low-rise apartments and homes. Owner is very affable and had great suggestions for nearby restaurants. Hotel is only about a 20 minute taxi from FCO. Good for a night or 2 stay.

La Lira - was good for what we needed.
We were simply looking for a clean place to stay overnight around the airport, at a good price, and that is what we got. It really is more of a Bed and Breakfast place (which their outside sign states, LOL). The people are friendly and the price was appropriate for the stay. Breakfast was very minimal "continental", which was fine. They arrange transportation to and from airport with an outside shuttle service, which again was great. We would stay there again. They were very friendly owners (or staff).

The owner greeted us at the gate and showed us to our rooms. He had suggestions on eating but we were tired and were ready to relax. He scheduled us a shuttle next morning to airport. Very friendly and personable gentleman. Our stay was short but enjoyable.

Outstanding stay!
La Lira is outstanding! The small b&b hotel is in a nice area with lots of restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. The hotel has been completely updated and very modern. The rooms are very nice. The owner is wonderful. Makes you feel so welcome and very accommodating. This was a great stay!

A gem in Fiumicino
The facility is outstanding. Very close to buses, restaurants, shopping, the beach. and the city centre of Roma. The staff, impeccable, courteous and genuine.

This was a lovely, clean, modern and well equipped property. We stayed here for one night before taking a flight out. It is in close proximity to the airport, and also within walking distance to several nice restaurants. The manager greeted us, helped us with our bags and gave us a thorough explanation of the property and surrounding area. I would highly recommend this property.

Of all the places we stayed this had the best room. It is a B&B and we had great crossiants and beverages for breakfast. The staff was very helpful in assisting us to travel around Rome by public transportation. The quarky thing about staying here is you have 4 keys to navigate around the property so security was never a issue😊

Overall a good stay.
When first dropped off by the shuttle we were scared and we’re sure we had made a mistake booking La Lira because the outside looks bad! Graffiti and spray painted garage doors were what welcomed us and the owner was not there to let us right in so we were super worried! But there was an intercom and he buzzed us in to the gated area at least to wait for him. When he got there he was friendly and explained he had to go get keys a previous guest accidentally took to the airport. And once inside all was good! Very clean nice looking “hostel” type B&B. Three people In a room was tight but we were only there for one night before our flight home so it was fine. He directed us to a nice restaurant for drinks and dinner and we had a decent sleep before catching the reliable shuttle back to the airport in the early morning. Breakfast was good coffee, yogurt and croissants. States “balcony overlooking the river”, haha, saw an smidge of the river far off. Didn’t use the balcony after first view. Overall a good stay. The owner, person cleaning, and man who served us breakfast were all very nice!

Property itself was clean and well-maintained. Staff was courteous. Major warning: high fees for late check in (anything past 23:00) and early 09:30 check out. If you have a late arrival, there are better options.

We were only there one night, less than 24 hours. We received support with drivers to see parts of Rome, and to get to the airport the next morning. Alert host at the front gate when you arrive, host will instruct you upstairs. If they are delayed meeting you, use the lift to carry luggage upstairs. No need to carry your own luggage up. Easy walk to restaurant for dinner and Gelato. Would stay there again, quiet rural neighborhood outside of Rome. AC in bedroom, breakfast items included with stay.

Great small hotel!
We stayed here for 3 nights before our cruise. We really enjoyed this location. Just a few rooms so it’s not busy like a big hotel. There is a common area where we were able to visit with family who were staying in other rooms. We were able to play games in the common area. There is a small pizzeria very close by that we were able to walk to even though my husband has trouble walking. You can walk to the local McDonald’s in less than ten minutes if you are so inclined. Well situated close to the airport. Super nice workers — very responsive and helpful. They booked us a ride to the airport and set up a fair price. We would be happy to stay here again when we come back to Rome.

Good Stay after Flying Into FCO
Very good bare bones place to spend night after flying into FCO. Very good variety of restaurants a short walk and can walk down to the beaches as well.

The staff member greeted us. He was very knowledgeable about the area had maps and restaurant ideas. He even told us about an event that was happening in the community. We had parking right out front. We walked to dinner that night we walked to the beach we walked to gelato, we walked to the marina. Everything was excellent we would definitely stay there again. The beds were super comfortable shower was clean basic toiletries provided there was a free breakfast but we had to go to the airport and weren’t able to eat it but it was a great location if you have to get on a plane at 10 AM

Great property. Everything was was up to date and very modern. The gentleman at the reception desk was great and took care of everything for us, including a taxi for the next day to the airport at 5am. The area was beautiful and not crowded. I would stay again.

The property is great and staff is wonderful. We had a late flight that was further Daleyed by mechanical issues. They were kind enough to coordinate via WhatsApp and keep reception open just for us until we arrive at 1:20 am. Very appreciative since we were so tired from the long flights.
