Lovely stay in Trastevere

Amazing stay in Trastevere. They helped arrange a driver from the airport and gave us our first cappuccino and juice for the kids upon arrival, along with some pastry. The breakfast and aperitivo were lovely and we enjoyed the quiet courtyard very much. The room was wonderful and ac worked well. We loved it so much we booked our last night before our departure there, as well. Thanks so much to the staff for a lovely stay!

The hotel santa maria, 5 stars is not enough for how great the place is. Right in the heart of the Trastevere area but provides a tranquil and quiet retreat until you are ready to venture out. The courtyard is lovely, and the staff are really helpful. This is a stay we will treasure and will definitely go back to the next time in Rome.

I loved everything about this property and am looking forward to staying there again when i return to Trestavere. The staff in particular were so kind and helpful. I left there with the impression that they were the most sincere, helpful, and kind-hearted people that I can't wait to return.

PERFECT Location!! Quiet but Close to sooo many things but if you need to the other side of Rome, the property is only a couple of minutes walk to the taxi stand - We recommend only using the taxis that have iT on the side … just trust me Beyond AMAZING staff!! They were very accommodating and kind. Nothing but positive things to say. (When employees have worked there for over 14 years, it really speaks volumes in the service industry.) Bonuses: Breakfast, Happy Hour (evening snacks), Free Bicycles, Daily Housekeeping, Ice 😁, Transfer Setups, Beautiful Grounds, Wifi, Bartenders are artists!

Excellent little hotel in fantastic area of Rome. Super friendly and accommodating staff. The best area to walk around, eat, drink and watch people is right outside the hotel in Trastevere, which is a quiet oasis in the middle of hustle and bustle.

A little oasis in the middle of bustling Trastevere neighborhood in Rome!! I couldnt believe how quiet it was- the perfect place to rest up after a long flight!! The grounds are inviting & beautiful. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, & accommodating. They suggested good restaurants close by. The breakfast buffet is large & varied- a lovely way to start the day! Our room was charming & the bed comfortable. It was the perfect start to our time in Italy!!🇮🇹

The staff here are so kind and accommodating. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Our room was clean, spacious, and very charming. We felt like we were staying in an Italian cottage. It was also in a great location, close walking distance to many amazing restaurants.

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed at. The grounds were beautiful. The staff really makes your stay great. They are all so friendly. Hidden Sanctuary

A perfectly designed space in busy Rome! Once inside, it’s easy to forget that you are still in the heart of Trastevere. The staff take great care to make sure your needs are met from breakfast & coffee in the morning and a fabulous happy hour in the evening. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We stayed in a Junior Suite with 2 bedrooms- plenty of space for the 4 of us. The next time we are in Rome, we will definitely be staying here again!

This property deserves a much higher rating than what is given online. Although it states 3 star hotel, it should be ranked a lot higher due to the convenient location in the heart of Trastevere, the friendliest staff, and the wonderful atmosphere of the hotel itself. It is very secure as you have to be let in through a gate and let out through the same gate so it makes you feel safe. If you’re looking for all inclusive or fancy, this is not the place but the genuine service and environment would give it that feel.

This is an ideal location for visiting Rome, right in the heart of Trastevere. The location is gated and safe and managed brilliantly, 24 hours. The area around the hotel is teeming full of restaurants, bars, pastries, pizzas, open long into the early AM. The hotel is unique in its garden like setting, a nice happy-hour lounge, good breakfast, and most of all the best staff. The staff is excellent, very helpful, knowledgeable and go out of the way to make you comfortable. This place is highly recommended and my family and I will stay there again in the future.

Hotel Santa Maria exceeded my expectations. The location is superb - so fun to be in the liveliness of Trastevere with so many bars, restaurants, shopping - it's an absolute vibe. Even with all the liveliness, the grounds of the hotel are serene and quiet. As soon as you walk into the gate, it is as if you're transferred to a secret garden of relaxation. You will also feel safe with the 24hour reception office open to let you into the gate. The walk across the river to the main attractions is simple and feels safe, you can make it to the Pantheon in about 10-15mins. The staff here is really what takes this location to the next level. So welcoming, accommodating, booked reservations for my husband and I. I cannot say enough about the staff. The Happy Hour is great. I didn't think we would attend, but we ended up making it back to the hotel everyday after touring to get some peace and quiet before an eventful night life. Thank you Hotel Santa Maria - we will be back!
