It is a great cosy hotel just 20 min walk from Vatican museums. The hotel looks brand new. The room is spacious. The mattress and pillows are comfy.

Nice, quiet place, close to buses, metro, tram and the Vatican. Wonderful restaurants nearby, especially the Antico Falcone (Via Trionfale), and good ice cream at Manny's Gelateria (Largo Trionfale).

Good value for money and close to the Vatican City. Public transport access excellent. Nearby corner shops for Knick knack. Walk with your favourite CD to play otherwise listen to the radio. Love the disco lights in the bathroom. Breakfast is just right, continental with good variety, consistent. You and dine in or outside in the garden. Brilliant staff days and night especially Marco.

This hotel has air conditioning which is needed during summer. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to St Peter’s Basilica and to the metro. The staff are quite helpful and friendly. A special shout-out to Marco for his excellent work! You also get a free bottled water which was a nice touch. All in all. I was quite satisfied with this affordable hotel.

Hotel not signed apart from one projected on the ground outside. Bit difficult to find, even with Google Maps. Room a bit disappointing as expected something as music related and furnished as one I had in Barcelona. But, had a good bed, small desk (with coffee making machine) and chair, large wardrobe with safe and decent bathroom with a shower stall, which was ok for me but, er, larger people may find it too small. All very clean with cleaners in everyday to make up bed and tidy up. Maybe a bit basic, but it ticked all the boxes for required facilities. Has a pleasant courtyard for meals out back for breakfast if not raining. My room was on the first floor with a patio door opening onto a common area overlooking the courtyard, with tables and chairs outside each of the three first floor rear rooms. Can sit out in the evenings if you choose. There is a modern lift for the four floors of the hotel. I've seen reviews for other hotels describing them as being 'tired' hotels, despite great photos on Expedia. Not this one. Possibly a bit basic but you are going out in Rome not staying in your room. Receptionists very helpful sorting a faulty safe ASAP and showing me the best aircon setting as on the first night I didn’t have it. Other friendly chatting re the football & can borrow cds for the cd player/radio in the room. The two guys in the breakfast room were great and very friendly. 15 mins from St Peter's Square, about 20 from Ottiavano metro. Bus r

Really quiet neighborhood. It’s close to lots of food and shopping areas. It’s about a 10 min walk to the Vatican. Can easily access the metro :) the workers were really nice and friendly. No complaints. Will definitely come back some day!

Overall it was a good hotel. Not very many amenities, didn’t feel like hotel but more like apartment. It was in a residential neighborhood with only 2 restaurants on the block. However it was only 10 min walk from everything which was very nice. The staff was amazing though!!! Super friendly and Marco was the best he was so nice and helpful. We had a great experience.

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. Room was clean, bed and pillows were super comfortable and hotel was walking distance to the Vatican. We had a toddler with us, and found the facilities were adequate for our family.

The hotel is easily accessible by public transport from the main stations, but still in a more quiet area. The check in went very smoothly and the staff is very nice and welcoming, they let us leave our luggage after check out for the rest of the day. The room was very nice, clean and we were not disappointed by the disco ball in the bathroom ! Overall a great experience !

A Perfect Roman Stay – Music, Warmth, and Unbeatable Location! We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Franklin Feel the Sound for 10 nights in April 2025, and we can honestly say it exceeded all expectations. First and foremost, the location is outstanding — just a 5-minute walk to the Vatican Museums, 10 minutes to St. Peter’s Square, and only 7 minutes to the Ottaviano metro station, making it incredibly easy to explore all of Rome. For food lovers, you're in luck: two fantastic restaurants, Falcone and Convivial, are located just steps away at the end of the street. We dined at both and were thoroughly impressed. The hotel itself has a cozy atmosphere and is clean without reproach. But what truly sets Franklin apart is the exceptional staff. Every team member I encountered was welcoming, professional, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Whether it was helping with directions, restaurant tips, or general city advice, they were always eager to assist. Special thanks to Stefano and Marco, who stood out for their kindness, knowledge, and genuine hospitality — they made us feel like a valued guest from the moment we arrived. Absolutely no chance that this is a 4 star hotel. Paint peeling off the roof and the entire room was tired and not clean. Breakfast was so disappointing and the staff were the rudest I have ever met. I loved Prague but the hotel was dilapidated and the staff were dreadful. I actually complained to Jet2 whilst there.

Staff were friendly and very accommodating. The AC (aircon) was very weak causing the room to be so warm and hot! We couldn't sleep well. We reported it but nothing happened. The wifi was so weak and we can't use it well for our personal use.

Good stay with one glitch

Overall we had a good stay. It was a unique hotel - we had a mirror disco ball in the bathroom. Comfy beds, good a/c. Location was good for the Vatican. Our issue was with the service. Stefano in particular. We were quoted one price for an airport transfer and then an hour later with Stefano, we were quoted 20 euros higher and he gave us quite an attitude. I was shocked that someone in hospitality would behave this way. He should not be front facing with customers. We all got the vibe from him that he hated tourists.
